Hi there...

My girlfriend and I recently bought two mice and a mouse house. We
decided on the weekend to get a bigger house (it's palatial!), and,
eventually, a couple more mice (all female). The cage we bought was
actually a birdcage, so there were no shelves for the mice to enjoy
multi-level living. I was just wondering whether anyone knew how to
get hold of that black plastic-coated wire tray material they use to
make the shelves...I've called the pet shops, but they only have the
ready-made cages, not separate components. On a separate note, one of
the mice we bought (we got them a week ago) is really skittish - the
other one runs up to you when you come into the room and can't stay
away, whereas the nervous one won't come out of the corner. We bought
them both from the same place, and they're both quite young. Is there
a way to train them not to be nervous, or is it just part of their
personality?
