First, sorry to hear you are unhappy with the ammount of breeders in
this club.
I'd have hoped it would have been the opposite too.
Also, Saskia was preganant when I got given her.
She was covered with mites and had to go before the owners parents
took him overseas.

She had healthy babies.
I live in a police-protection home to escape death threts from my
former partner.
Knowing I get sray rats via my parents home, I sussed out a local
petshop and told them my sitiuation.
She agreed that if someone came in looking for rats she'd keept their
details and tell me, and the rats I had avalible would then be
transported to her shop and wait to sale.
If they weren't sold after a two week period, then I'd takre them home.
What should I have done, ironically i could have sent them to a pound,
who may then have rung me via my parents and thus sent them back to me
tp care for.
Most shelters don't have the facillities to keep rats.
Other rats associations in melbourne who offer to rehouse them ARE
BREEDERS and would use the "PRETTY ONES" for their own breeding stock.
Or I could have had the vet abort the babies, but fuck that, that
would be murder!

So my word hear is, don't assume too quickly, and yes, if you know of
rats at shelters by all means please let it be known inside this club.
I'd love it to see animal shelters place rehousing notes for their
rats here. This has always been my wish.
