Congratulations on the brilliant review…and
you deserve all the accolades.
I wish your smile could

roses to match the four NEW BLOOD received and my smile makes house

Here is what they had to say:
RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:
If you're in the mood for a modern romance, look no further! Amy
Gallow's MITCHELL'S VALLEY is just the book for you. With its
interesting characters and beautiful settings, you're sure to enjoy
this book.
Cynthia Sheldon has just been rescued from near death by the handsome
Andrew Mitchell. After a passionate kiss goodbye, he gives her a
trinket and asks that she never forget him. Once Cynthia is finally
recovered, she realizes that the trinket Andrew gave her was a golden
nugget! Intrigued by this man and the memory of his kiss, Cynthia
goes on a quest to find him to thank him again for his generosity,
and perhaps reenact their parting kiss. But what she finds instead is
a mystery that she is committed to solve, no matter what.
Drew Mitchell is a descendent from the legendary Andrew Mitchell, for
whom his ranch is named. Drew is one hunky cowboy! When Cynthia finds
Drew, she swears that he was the one who rescued her. But Drew denies
it, and claims instead that it was his namesake, the deceased Andrew
Mitchell who saved her instead. Could it be? A ghost who saved her
and kissed her? Although Cynthia is willing to play along with Drew's
story for a little bit, she can't help but think that maybe he's
telling the truth. A ghost did save her.
MITCHELL'S VALLEY sizzles with the romance between Cynthia and Drew!
I loved that Ms. Gallow added the mystery of Andrew Mitchell as the
driving force to bring together Cynthia and Drew. She keeps you
guessing as to whether it was really Andrew Mitchell's ghost who
rescued Cynthia.
I am pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed reading MITCHELL'S
VALLEY. I breezed through the book and I was satisfied with how it
ended. All in all, a very good read!

Hi All,

NEW BLOOD
Author: Amy Gallow ISBN: 1586088572 3/2006 PARANORMAL Publisher: NEW
CONCEPTS PUBLISHING
She became a woman and changed the destiny of her race.
Abandoned by her race, manipulated by a unique individual, Dael
grasps the opportunity to break free of ancient bonds and become the
woman she imagines. In doing so she finds a love beyond anything her
world has ever known and bears a son with the power to rewrite
history.
RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:
Dael is essentially a person within a person. She lives inside of a
host, whose name is Samara and is a healer. She has this great
personality that is all her own. Dael and Samara literally take turns
using Samara's body, and they communicate with one another through
telekinetics. Their bond is very strong, and before they were through
sharing a body I had come to think of them as sisters.
Upon discovering a new life and a new way of doing things when Samara—
and Dael—are stolen from their hive, Dael uses the help of a man
named Peter to make changes to herself. She literally creates herself
a body, right from the very first cell. What Dael doesn't understand
is that Peter is a very powerful being and he is manipulating her to
get her to do his bidding. He wants to create a better way of life
for his people, and knows that Dael and the son that they will have
is the answer to his prayers.
While a little disillusioned when I began to read NEW BLOOD (mainly
because there is a lot of information, and at first, everything is
not explained very well), I ended up really liking this story. Dael
and Peter conquer great odds to be together and with their son,
Karrel, they become a force to be reckoned with. Theirs is a very
strong familial unit and I grew to love them while reading their
story.
This being my first experience with this type of paranormal book, I
was pleasantly surprised while reading Amy Gallow's NEW BLOOD. It was
an interesting read and helped to show me a new aspect of paranormal
romance.

"Snow Drifter" my fourth book with Rocky River Romances, will be distrubuted in the US April 2007 under the ongoing arrangement with National Book Network.
It's set in Aspen, Perisher and Sydney, so it already has a strong US conndcgion.
Wonderful to see your books on the shelves
in those main bookstores…You deserve to be there.
There is certainly ‘Movement At the Station” no regrets though….as the poem
continues!!!
Rocky River Romances has worked hard to
hit the big time…and your work has got it up there!

New Zealand is great! Every Kiwi should be proud of their home. We had lunch with a New Zealand author, Shelley Munro, and her husband at Mission Bay in Auckland and I sampled the local mussels cooked in a a Belgian boutique beer. They were delicious and I carefully didn't think about cholestrol at all while I enjoyed each mouthful.
I'm bursting with enegy, ready to get as much work done as possible before we head off to Europe/UK at the end of June and my first effort was to publish a website, Amy Gallow , on the web. Check it out. I tried to make it a bit different.
We're off to New Zealand for three weeks so I thought I'd leave you some goodies to look at in the beginnings of the next two books in the New Blood series.
They give a picture of where I'm gong with the story line.
"New Blood" is out in the world and the copies are off to the reviewers. Now we wait to see what they make of it.
I admit to some nervousness about this one. It's a great yarn, but it is even closer to the edge of the genre than my normal writing and is in company that will highlight the difference.
New Concepts are confident enough and I'm sure anyone who reads it will enjoy it, but their expectations will be moulded by its company and cover art.
The response from the reviewers will tell me more.
Yes Cathie. I filled in an artwork questionaire that covered multiple
pages because the artist never reads the book. I thought I was pretty
specific about what the book was about. Obviously I was wrong, because
the title "New Blood" over-rode whatever I wrote. I shall be more
careful in future.
Amy there now looking at the cover, sorry the cover not fitting with your story. You have no input to that? I'll go off to read the excerpt now.
You have a good weekend.

It's up and running on the New Concepts site with two thirds of the first chapter as a teaser. The cover art is attractive, eye-catching, but barely appropriate, but the editing process has been fruitful and I'm pleased with the result. Amy

I received a general invitation to join a Yahoo group run by two NCP
authors, called "The Raven Vampire Nightclub" and, rather than just
saying "Hi, I'm Amy" I decided to share an imaginary first visit to
the night club (there's an ongoing story line connected to the group
which can be read for free) Before I knew it I had a full-blown story
on my hands about the the daughter of a vampire taking vengeance on
her father. This stuff is not my favorite genre, but I had fun with
it.
The First time
Amy sipped her drink and looked around, waiting for something to
happen. An old warehouse converted to a nightclub and peopled by the
outcasts of society was not her scene. Lycanthropes and other Were
Folk mingled with the Undead and Wannabes, jigging frenetically to
music both loud and discordant enough to damage hearing. Only the
drink was good—a Bloody Mary with a few original touches to make it
interesting.
The invitation had come in the mail. Black edged, embossed
printing, her name correctly spelled without the pendent "s" others
seemed determined to add, it named the date and time. It had
impressed the doorman, an oversized lump leavened only by a roguish
twinkle in his eye.
"Show it to the barman," he said. "The drinks are on the house."
"Are they safe to drink?" She let him make what he would of her
question.
There was intelligence as well as humor behind those lumpen
features. "There's none of that here."
She'd held his gaze for a moment longer before accepting his
assurance with the ghost of a nod and passed by him into the club,
heading to the bar. A glimpse of the invitation had been enough for
the barman and he'd served the first drink without asking what she
wanted.
Since then, there's been nothing.
"Hi, Princess. Come slumming?"
The greeting turned her to the speaker. A lycanthrope, dark good
looks and a muscular body barely contained in a white silk body shirt
open to the waist. His gaze was bold, lustful, but she detected the
hint of uncertainty behind it—the awareness of their vulnerability
common to all his folk.
"Yes."
She allowed her answer to hang in the air between them as she took
another sip, the liquid barely touching her lips as she held his gaze
with her eyes.
He swore, the words vicious and unrestrained, but her gaze didn't
waver and he gave up, changing tack. "Come for the rough sex you
can't get with your own kind?" It was supposed to be a challenge.
"And you come here for…?" This time it was a question hanging in
the air and she could see lust battling anger in his eyes.
His smile was strained, but meant to be inviting. "To give
pleasure."
She must trust her instincts. This was not the source of her
invitation. It was time to send him on his way…
She smiled at him. "Then, I suggest a bath, a shave and fresh
clothes." She allowed her nose to wrinkle a little. "A stronger
mouthwash as well."
There was a frozen moment while her words sank into a disbelieving
mind and then his rage triggered the transformation to his true
shape, features blurring into a lupine snarl…
"No!" It was the lump from the door. "She's his guest."
The words penetrated in time for him to revert to human form before
his rage drove him at her throat. His body shook with his need to
kill, but a greater fear held him in check.
"Go." The doorman was unrelenting, turning the half-creature away,
moving between him and Amy as a bulwark. A final shrug, a pathetic
attempt at dignity and the lycanthrope left.
"You do like living on the edge." The doorman had turned and was
looking down at her, a mixture of admiration and puzzlement in his
eyes.
"Is there any other place?" Amy didn't thank him, just turned back
to the bar and indicated her drink to the barman. "Another, please.
This one's tainted." She felt her guardian leave, but didn't turn
around until there was a fresh drink in her hand.
There was a space around her now. That should bring him. She took
another sip, a real one this time.
"You came." He was behind her, a bedroom voice to send a ripple
down her spine.
She turned…
He'd watched from the moment she entered the club. Tall, five-foot-
ten at least, ultra cool, controlled, she looked a million dollars.
Fringed black suede boots, knee-high with stiletto heels, a simple
black dress with three diagonal slashes showing glimpses of tanned
flesh to her left hip, hoop earrings in gold and shoulder-length dark-
brown hair framing a face more elven than elfin. Yet, those green
eyes dominated, peeling away pretence with razor acuteness,
challenging.
He'd glimpsed her once, emerging naked from the sea in the magical
moment preceding the dawn when haste was essential and it had taken
him months to track her down. He'd visited her home and found wards
in place, a fascinating development. There was no knowledge of her
among the Undead, but she knew enough of them to protect herself—an
enigma demanding a solution.
Sensing a direct invitation would be spurned, he set his servants
to work. "Find out everything," he'd said. "I will accept no excuses."
They'd failed. The wards barred them from her home and every normal
line of inquiry drew a blank. Wealthy, her bank balance demanded
respect and was replenished on a needs basis from an untraceable
source. Baffled, he'd fallen back on this club. It maintained a
precarious existence on the edge of society with a steady flow of
bribes.
He'd held his breath when the Halfling approached, fearing she'd
disappoint him by accepting, but she'd been magnificent, spurning
even the doorman. He must have her…and soon!
"You came." Her turn from the bar had allowed him to approach from
behind.
Amy felt his power flow around her, seductive, demanding
acquiescence to his will. This was the one. She had to fight. "You
kept me waiting. A risk not worth taking. Don't do it again." It was
the right line. She could see it in his eyes.
"Will I have another opportunity?" He was amused.
"I'll decide later." She looked around. "Is this the best you can
do?"
"There's a private section."
She pretended to consider. "Is it better…or just private?"
"I think you might enjoy it." A hint of smugness in his voice she
must disperse.
"Then I probably won't. You're a bit disappointing so far." His
expression froze. She had him!
His body language changed, relaxed power metamorphosing into the
alertness of a hunting beast sighting an equally powerful prey. "I'll
lift my game to match your expectations." He stood straighter,
claiming a slight height advantage.
"I'll stay a few minutes more to see if you can." She took a sip of
her drink. "The barman knows his trade, at least." She let him absorb
the implication.
He laughed out loud, a good laugh, inviting her to share his
amusement. "You're magnificent!" The hypnotic pressure on her mind
eased.
She allowed herself a half smile, amused but not convinced. "You've
stopped trying to cheat."
Hi Cathie,
The date for "New Blood" is fine. I want more books on the American
lists. "New World" is the second book of the trilogy I've aimed at NCP
and I have to finish it. A success with Mitchell's Valley would
encourage Saltwater Press to release some of my other books.
Fingers crossed.
Amy
Hi Diane. Nice meeting you. I'm in western New York. Where we get lots of snow. It hasn't been as much as we usually get but cold! So you could probably use our snow!

Hi Cathie, Thanks for the reminder. I'd left the file in my manuscript format (HHIS). It's fixed nowand I'll check the others (I'm still learning) "Mitchell's Valley" is distributed through NBN and Amazon etc say it's not available until May 2006. "New Blood" is scheduled for March 3rd by NCP. That's all I got so far in the US. I hope to change that. Regards Amy

Hi Amy, I sure did enjoy it! I came right to find your yahoo group.
The formatting for the post tho, but might have been on my part, was hard to read so I couldn't get the link to amazon. Can you just list your books in US so I can go search for them. Thank you!! Cathie

Hi
Just saw the posting of your next book on New Concepts.
I'll be interested to see how you do a paranormal. The year looks as
though New Concepts is really kicking in for 2006.
It would be interesting now to see how long after the ebook release a
print version comes out....and by promotions...does that mean getting
reviews and publicising on line and in romance magazines.
Chris said there is a big publicity page in the latest edition of

I imagine those schedules could vary a little?
congratulations on your latest moves in your great writing career.
