Hi all,
Julie's report has made me feel homesick as I have a son who lives across the river from Rebecca Lavell in Canada and cousins who live in the Portland area and we spent lots of holidays in the areas of California were Julie has visited. I grew up in a suburb of Vancouver.
I also attended a workshop with Alexander Pilin at Orange, his English had improved a lot by then. It was a fantastic class. A busy time as I was trading also. Very talented felters in the class who's work was also inspiring. I had met several of them last year at Beth Beede's class.
Have been very busy replenishing stock from Orange sales but have also caught up now.
Now am trying out some new colours for the batts. Have come up with a yellow ochre and want to develop a nice red ochre as well.
Sold 3 hats at Orange that I had taken as samples for the hat shapers I sell. 2 more under construction using some new shapes.
Pat M.
