Sounds GREAT FUN to ME!
Yes count me in.
As for ideas mmm.... Well on another list that's to do with sewing machines they are having fall gift bag swap.
We could 1. Felted Christmas ornament.-needle or wet.
2. 50 grams of fibre in Christmas type colour's.
3. A small gift tag made out of what ever you like-be it fibre/ paper or both.
4. A Christmas food item-say a small cookie or ginger bread man or some thing easy- bought or hand made.
So there you go.
What does all think.??
I think Great! :)
Hugs Nat who adores Christmas.
P.s yes i do know there is a man on the bottom of my letter.
I like him too! Lol

Subject: [AussieFeltmakers] Christmas Idea Have had my thinking cap on for a while about a Christmas swap, the fact that I have been in bed with the flu this past week (courtesy of our youngest daughter!!!!) gave me lots of time to give this some thought!! I wanted to come up with something that everybody thought was achievable, I know sometimes exchanges can be daunting to new feltmakers. Last year we had an ornament exchange similar to the recent ATC swap except they were Christmas ornaments, each person received a bag bag with an assortment of ornaments. Thought what about if we have a secret Santa exchange but a bit in reverse!!! Everyone will fill out a form I send out with questions like favourite colours, likes dislikes etc (have to think about exactly what to ask!!) These forms would come to me direct NOT to the feltmakers list. I will number each form get one of my girls to pick the numbers for everyone (so it is not a clean swap). Once someone is assigned to you I will send you their details (minus their name/address) direct to your email not via the list. No sharing with the list any of the details you receive. Each person then has to put together a small parcel (does not have to be expensive - need some suggestions on how to limit the number/items so this does not become a big thing and everyone receives similar amount) It might be a small bag of fibre, a handmade felt decorations and maybe something else Christmassy (I'm open to suggestions!!) The items are to be posted to me and then I will post out to the relevant people, then ask that each person opens their package with the list so that people will then learn who they made their items for! I thought this was something that was acheivable for everyone, only one decoration to make, not hugely expensive and a bit of fun!! Just an idea and if you all say no that's fine but let me know as Christmas is not that far away and I would want them all in by the middle of November so that they are with everyone to be opened on the 1st December!!!! Let me know your thoughts. Sandie :-) | |||
