Hi Meg
Welcome back to Aus. Bet it is cold down there in Augusta....it is cold here in Perth, except for the days, which have been really nice. A pity that we have not had the rain, though.
Not a lot has been happening on the list lately.....where is everyone???
Job searching here again, as I have finished a few temp jobs that I have had this year.
Did not go to the Feltwest Retreat this year....I only got notification of it a week before it was to happen, so it was too late to put in my application, as all the places would have been taken. As it was, I could not go anyway, as my mother, who is 85, gave us all a big fright and ended up in Hospital, so that took all of my time, taking my Dad to and from Fremantle hospital every day to visit her. She is now home from hospital, doing fine now, thank goodness.
I have been doing a little bit of just flat pieces of felt, which I have been shibori dyeing afterward. For a project I have in mind.....wall hanging. Won't say any more until it is finished.
In the meantime, I have been trying to finish off some of the UFO's left behind that my late sister started. She had started knitting two garments for her grand children, and I decided to finish them off, they are done in homespun that she has been working on. I will also have to finish spinning the wools that she also started. I have also been busy trying to sort out her craft room, just to see what is what and who can have what. I am going to have my old spinning wheel back again, and the wool that I gave her before leaving for abroad, and I am also going to have all her dyes. I will try to sell all her garments that she had for sale prior to her untimely death, and see if I can secure a buyer
for her weaving gear that she has left in there.
I went to the Craft Fair in the Convention Centre and met with Julie (from Coloured by Jules) there. I also purchased a Huskystar Embellisher, which I will be picking up tomorrow from Teena's in Bibra Lake. Fun times ahead!!!
Take care, keep safe and make lots of felt!
Cheers to Everyone!
Julie
