Unfortunately I was not born Purple, but i was once Lisa and now have evolved into Purple (only my Mum still calls me Lisa). My friends started calling me that to tell me apart from my best friend also named Lisa i have had Purple Hair since i was 14, Lisa got Blondie as a nic but it didn't stick. Now i have to keep up the purple hair and well everything else, so as not to confuse anyone, but i love the colour and seem to pull a lot of positive energy from it.
I am looking at my plans for next weekend i think i will come and say hello, i look froward to it.

Hi an welcome Purple.I am sorry but I don't remember seeing your intro.I LOVE your name, as I LOVE purple!I have to ask, but is it your birth name?I have to date never had labels made only done my own tags.I could make my own as I have two embroidery machines and digitizing software, although I am still a beginner in that field. LolMaybe do a Google? With ideas, I have a dream book beside my bed, that I draw and write my ideas in as I often wake up with my head full of thoughts! My silly brain does more work in my sleep than during the day?! - No wonder I have no teeth left.lolI think your " mark" is a great idea and how nice to see friends wearing your felt.Nice to meet youNatalie-------Original Message------- Hi
i have sent though my hi there and hello 3 times hopfully this time it worked...
I am so new ideas and insperation fly though my head but not too sure on how the quality will hold up to everyone else, but i am happy to swap and trade. I am very keen on just meeting people and talking about my new found love... I will post pictures of some of the things i have madelater, as i have no pictures here at work.
While i don't sell anything at the moment, i have always made things and given away to friends. A few years ago i decided to put my mark on things. I came up with the name 'By the Hand of Purple', because everything i do is by my hands! I sew a little visible purple hand on everything i make then the words hidden somewhere on the garment. At a party i went to a few months ago there was one moment where i looked around and saw 5 little hands waving from my friends clothes and bitz. it made me swell with pride!
Which brings me to a question... as i do plan to make a few things for a joint market stall (my friend is a ceramic artist also wants to sell some things) i would like to put my lables on the bits i sell, does anyone know where i can get a small runn of cloth lables with my mark on them? what do other people do to lable their products?
anyway friday home time... i am sure i'll think of 100's of more questions...

Good evening everyone! How are we all?I have noted that the list has become very still in the last few months and I am as much at fault as anyone. LolOur lives can be so busy and sometimes very distressing ( no I don't have bad news) but I do feel that it would be nice to try and bring the fun and interesting chats back to this great group.I have been a member from the start and have enjoyed getting to know the wonderful and very talented felters, some of whom we have shared their ups and downs with. An oddly, I hold close to my heart even though I have never met them! As I am poor at the written word my posts can be a bit lacking in true thoughts.lolI think sandie has always done a great job with the list and no, I do not know who the next list mum will be. Thanks Sandie. Now, what I would love to see again is some more interest in the group activities . Wendy offered to do a fibre swap, but I don't remember anything happening-sorry if I have missed it??I turned 40 this past June and I am sure some of my brain cells went to sleep! If everyone is sick of a normal fibre swap, how about an exotic or colour theme? What about an winter solstice or summer one or a photo comp of fibre animals with a needle felted animal that's in the photos or a felted flower swap? A felted summer top swap? Another scarf swap with a theme?I was even thinking of on line class of some sort with maybe web cams or something every now an then.???Another thought was ( and I know we are oz only ) but to have NZ folks to boost numbers? I don't really know why just thought of the spin list.I can't remember if I told you but I have now made it into the retail side of felt making and I am thrilled to be selling to (so far) a couple of shops and I now plan to take it another step by seeing other shop owners and changing my website and getting out an about! All this has made me think about my business card and my name. After much discussion it was felt that Nemcala heart felted creations was not right and it has now been changed to HeartFelted Creations. This I found very hard as Nemcala has a lot of meaning. So how did everyone else come up with their name? Another thing that has come up, was fibre artist. I still feel this is right but others do not.I don't use the word textile because I don't work with woven fabric. What do we all think?Well, that will do for tonight.Take care allHugs Natalie. :)
