I haven't had any other advice yet.  Thanks for the information I'll have to take a trip to the coast next week and see what I can come up with.
 
Is there anyone out there that would be interested in a Journal exchange.?? Or maybe a handmade key ring (though I think I'd need to put thought into that one).

Did you get any advice? This is not something I know heaps about, but I know there are products available at places like Spotlight or Lincraft. I think there are names like washaway, solvy, and I can’t remember any more. I know when I made a silky material quilt I used whisper weft, but I left it on the material. It was great and made a huge difference, it was so much easier to sew.
