Hi all

Good evening ladies-

I went to the alpaca fest in Kyneton today, not much there but I was late .
I did buy some nice multi coloured wool that is 80% alpaca an 20% merino -100 grams for $15.00-I was wondering if this is a fair price, as I don't normally buy spun wool.
They also had some Spun suri that felt WONDERFUL but cost was $93.00 per 380grams!
Would anyone pay this??
it was way too rich for me.lol
If folks do buy it- maybe we  should all start spinning it .lol
Thanks Barbara, I was happy with my eggs too.
I am happy to stick to the non sneezing fibres but would like only animal too.

When this elusive tax payment Finally arrives (it will be worth the wait, I always pay to much upfront) I'm so looking forward to buying a Roberta at last Kerry.
Barbara, are you talking about an electric Roberta spinning wheel?
If you are, I have my (as new)- standard an jumbo bobbin one looking for a new home-I have used it only half dozen times.
I spin only to chill-out, I have a lot of nervus energy and so like my traveller better.
Thanks Wendy for your information-I am going  to take some lessons.
I did some recruiting? today.
I met a nice lady and her husband-friend? not sure by the name of Judy Craig.
I really liked some of her felt work  with real silk-I tend to use silk organza.
She has work shops every 1st an 3rd Thursday of month and 3rd Saturday of month.
I hope to go and take a Saturday class about needle felting.
I have told her about us and will give her the addy.
if anyone is interested her web is www.becreatif.com.au

take care
