Wendy and I spent an hour and half today buying merino tops (First Edition) at Virginia farm.
I am on a bit of a roll and for once seem to have the energy to be felting almost daily.
I have a question -what sort of wool do people use on the faces of dolls or figures?.
I want to make a rather small delicate face and I find the merino too stringy and the corriedale much easier to work with -but then the complexion looks doughy.
Is there a commercial European coloured skin available in the wool that is pretty but not too candy?
Thank you
Allison
PS I think I will be able to participate in the fibre exchange as well.
