Glad you like the web site.
The star needle is star shape and has the barbs at the working end of the needle. It is used manly for sculpting, like facial features where you want more definition, around eyes, nose, mouth. It compacts the wool more.
Triangular needle are triangle shape with the barbs spaced up the shaft.  They are a good all purpose needle.

Hi Sandie I've learned how to straighten bent needles. Using pliers, hold the needle over a flame (candle) until hot then use pliers to gently straighten them....
