RE: [AussieFeltmakers] Re: Last call for Christmas swap

Welcome Judy!
I am relatively new to the group and you have asked a lot of questions I had been thinking!
Good luck with your projects...I sew, spin, weave crotchet, and knit, as well as make felt....anything textiles really. Don't specialise  - although sewing seems to work into all the other activities.....  and am a hobbyist, not producing work commercially.
I am a Qld-er, but have lived in many parts of the world since I left the north in the early 1980s.
Regards
Lexi

> I have read folk saying they loved what they received.... but... I would love more descriptions of the fibres one sends and one receives.... so I can have an idea how to join in next time....and start collecting.

> The swapping of work I have already participated in a Mosaics Group to which I belong.... last year it was a 'shoe swap'....
> yep... a mosaiced shoe.... We are an international group and what fun!.... I received a mosaiced clog from a girl in America and I had to send mine to a girl in Canada.......
> We didn't know who we were going to swap with... because it was not an even exchange... and I am guessing that's how you have planned yours too.......you are told who you are sending your parcel to...
> We had to make our mosaiced shoe and send an email to the lady who was organising... and then she would send you the details where to send.... and then you waited for someone to finish theirs and on it went........ so noone knew when or from where the surprise package would arrive.......
> I can't put pictures on this email... as I could send you pics... if I knew how you would receive them.
> My felting effort has not been much yet..... I have started and almose finished a needle felted mermaid... which I have hanging on a tree but need to finish..... (that story was I had severed nose bleeds for four months and treatment so couldn't trust my nose wouldn't bleed to work on it). Previous to the mermaid... my first effort was a nuno felted scarf.... which I love very much.... and the thrid effort was a wet felted flower done at the GCCT Group but couldn't do it properly because of the nose bleeds..(couldn't put my head down to roll etc.,). and will finish that too now I am recovered.
> I hope this email arrives correctly to the group... If I don't see it I will know... it didn't and try again.
> P.S. sorry if you receive this email twice.. but decided maybe I should have written to the web post and not 'reply to group'... please correct me if I have done the wrong thing.
