I would like to take part. Can you please pop a form into your fibre exchange box for me?
Maybe this group would like to consider having its own felted scarf exchange. What do people think?

Hi guys
Wondered if any of you had thought of partaking in the scarf exchange this year?
For those who don't know about the scarf exchange it is run annually by the Spinners and weavers guild, this year Sunraysia spinners and weavers are organising it.
What you do is send 150 gm of scoured fibre (whatever type you want!) and send that and an entry form & fee of $11.00 to the guild. They then distribute these packages out so that all who are taking part receive someone else's package. I might get one from someone in Tasmania and someone in QLD might get mine. You then have to make a scarf using any technique you like and yes feltmaking is acceptable. When completed the scarf is returned to the guild who then after an exhibition of them all posts it back to you to keep!
I have been doing this for quite a few years, sometimes I get beautiful pieces other times they are not so crash hot but what I remember is that someone else (who I don't know!) has taken the time to create something for me and that is what is important.
Unfortunately I didn't think about anyone from this group doing it (our fibre group does it every year.) so the closing date for the fibre to be received is the 13 May. You then have a couple of months to complete the item and this year the them is Scarves and Accessories "Lets be fashionable!" in previous years it has been The great Australian Sky, Can you see the colours in the water and I cant remember what else!
You have at least a couple of months to complete your item and then post it back.
Its a lot of fun and if anyone is interested please let me know and I will send you a form!
