Hi All
Just finished my 2 one hour classes at Hampton School. Its is a small country school with 17 pupils in total. What a surprise when I arrived and found that there were 13 boys and only 4 girls. We were making felt necklaces. Think the choice would have been different if I knew that there were so many boys.
What a good bunch of kids. Polite , enthusiastic a real pleasure to teach. Boys had trouble treading needles, that was a surprise. But it went really will and we ended up with some great medallions.
Don't know if I will have time for a swap, but what do you think of the felted and beaded necklace. Made by making a felted sausage shape with multi colours , cutting into disks before felted really hard, then flattening disk into a medallion shape, felting disks until hard and decorating with with small beads. Very quick and easy but looks great.
Julie, green with envoy, grew up In North Vancouver, have relatives in Portland and L.A. Area, have very happy memories of both places.
Hi Wendy, will be in Sydney for a week when new granddaughter if born, around the first week in May. Maybe we could met up. Daughter lives at Dee Why.
