thanks Carolyn,
mum is 83 and it was the top of the leg at the joint so they pinned
it and didn't have to replace it, I will be over in Perth in May for
the SCQ'ers retreat and to work the show so hopefully she'll be
getting back on track by then
cheers

Hi
Janine,
Don't stress
about getting the scarf in the mail by Friday. It was only a date to
be in the post by, it's more important to look after yourself and
family. I am sure everyone agrees that they would rather wait a
few days than have you pull out.
All my best
thoughts and wishes are with you.
love
Ardione

I know that we need to have our scarf in by Friday, but when are they to be swapped? I've had family crisis after family crisis and I'm only half way through, I'm home all day Friday and would be able to get it finished then and in the mail by the close of day and it should be in QLD by Monday, do I pull out all the stops and get it finished or do I throw my hands up in the air and say take me out of the swap? MIL is in hospital after heart attach bought on from pneumonia coughing (in-laws live with us) and then a few days ago my mother in Perth who we had just got settled in care had a fall and broke her hip and wrist. I made a good start on it yesterday before I went off to TAFE for afternoon class, I'm there all day today and half day tomorrow but free Friday so I can get it finished if I can express post Friday arvo.

I'll put my scarf in the mail tomorrow. Packed up at our exhibition today. I had a good lot of sales, some dyed shirts and a scarf. the dyed shirts sales paid for all the money I've outlayed this year (Not counting books of course). I put some photos of the free machine embroidered pieces I made for the exhibition on my Flickr, I was hoping they'd sell but I am really glad they didn't.
I am going to photograph some of my other stuff too, I am an all time champion bad photographer. I have spent about an hour tonight trying to get my blog to upload photos. I had no trouble putting one in the side bar but I am having trouble putting them into a post. Any hints would be great as the blogger instructions don't seem to work.

Hi to all. Had a good look at the new photos. I see I have a long way
to go. I Have taken some shots of my scarfs and when I learn to down
load them on to the net I will get my husband to show me. I love the
hands on with felting. I also make paper from old papers etc. I tryed
painting at tafe but not my thing .Hope every one did not over indulge
in easter eggs.

Love the hats Kerry, I especially like the dragon hat.
Great idea with the collage of hats Dianne. How is the
exporting going?
Nat, your work is great.
Good to see everyone is so busy.
The Harbourside market was very busy, but no one was
spending any money. I have spoken to other people at other local markets and
they said the same thing.
Oh well, just keep at it. It will eventually get cooler and
people will turn to felt. LOL
I will finish up loading today. Just thought I would put some different items in as well.
All the felt work that I have displayed, has now been sold, so I don't mine showing them off.lol
However, some of the works are from five years ago . One can really see the change and I hope improvement in skill.?? It makes me wonder why some items did sell.lol!
Thank you to all the kind hearted soles that support handmade and new artiest.-god bless you.
Hugs Nat
p.s today I hope to look at all the other wonderful felt art in our photos.

Hooley dooley Natalie - you've been busy uploading your stuff! The irises came together beautifully - I haven't seen that piece since you were working on it.
just browsing the photos in the files and came across your recent additions. What's the brown/black piece destined for? I realise it's a work in progress (in the pics) but I assume it's finished by now. It's
awesome!

Yes Nat, that is a fantastic looking piece. As are the rest of your pieces. What are you going to do with it? Love your brooches.
New members, and others, make sure you look at the photo albums there are some excellent works pictured. Off to the Harbourside Markets today, should be huge. They are blessing the fleet, and the Easter fishing competition is on. Now, if it only stays dry. Wish me luck
Tomorrow is the last day of the exhibition I have been involved with. It is at the Yankalilla Showground in conjunction with the Annual Art Show. The big hall is full of the most beautiful paintings etc and the small hall is full of some bl---dy amazing mixed media and textile works. I'll be there all day so if you drop in say Hi.
I had the house full of my kids and grandkids over Easter. No 1 Son left today for East Timor with the Army. He is going as a Civialian Liason for 6 months, such a worry but he's mad keen to go so what can you do. Anyway the house is quiet again. With everybody returned to their own houses. DH is asleep in front of the TV, the fridge is full of Ferroro Rochers and I am holed up here in the library we went to the Pub for tea after No 1 Son left and we dropped No 2 Son to his place. After the big lunch with all the kids and tea at the pub I am too full to even eat chocolate. Mind you I had an amazing White Chocolate and Baileys Parfait (Fancy IceCream) for dessert at the Pub.

And a Joyous Chocolate Day (I've had enough of saying Happy Easter today ;p) to you all!
Well, what a busy day at work today! Our takings in the coffee shop were almost 5 times the daily average and my little feet hurt :) :) :)
The Artisans Market was great and really well recieved. Most of the stallholders will be returning on a regular basis and there will be others who didn't come today because of Easter but will in the future. I managed to chat with a handful of them and grab some business cards and memberships forms for various groups (I'm not sure that I'll have time to take part in everything that turned my key though!)
Had a great conversation with one particular lady who uses - but does not make - felt in her wares; remind me to talk to you about her Natalie, interesting!
Sooo, if any of you are floating about Kyneton in Central Vic on the 4th Sunday each month, drop in and say Hi! I'd love to make you a coffee :)
Hi to all the hard workers of felting. Lucky ones who could eat easter
eggs. Being a diabetic I can look but not touch. Have a safe Easter to
all. We stay home over Easter as there are to many dills on the road.
I hurt my back on thursday and have to take it easy for the next few
days.Poor me.

Welcome to the new members. This group is really
growing. Easter greetings to all.Yesterday the
Spinners and Weavers inc had their annual Easter
exhibition. Wall to wall people. Great sales. This
means we can pay the rent for our premises for another
year!! :). Felt was very popular and I was asked if
we could teach it. One new member. Yippee, and she is
young. For us that is a bonus.Youngest in our group is
62. Ah well we have maturity and experience!!!!
Fur balls. Castor oil helps Krishna!! Sorry. I
have a slightly warped sense of humour. Cool today and
will put my feet up after yesterdays hectic time. Off
to try the chocolate egg. First an indigestion tablet
,just in case!! Meg.
