Home Grown Roots Volume 2 - The long awaited follow-up to the 2006 Volume 1
album which featured Hawksley Workman, Karl Broadie and of course Angus and
Julia Stone -who were up and comers at the time but have now enjoyed
considerable success since they signed to EMI soon after their inclusion on the
album.



Following on from the success of last year's debut, the Home Grown Roots series
returns with a scorching selection of some of Australia's finest roots and blues
music and a feature international track

From Canada's Joel Plaskett -'Nowhere with You' which made it to Number One on
the Canadian chart. From the opening track by Sydney's own live heroes
'Rastawookie' and the title song from Mia Dysons ARIA award-winning album
'Parking Lots', through to Australia's newest crop of emerging talents such as
Rosie Burgess and Josh Owen. The album has artists from almost every state and
territory - even NT and Tassie. This stellar compilation is rounded out with the
inclusion of a solo track from the acclaimed former member of George, Tyrone
Noonan and an absolute classic version of the old Leadbelly tune 'Ella Speed' bu
Chickenhead to close the record with the only cover version in the twenty song
lineup.
