What you should know about Mei Lai Swan

An unusual find, Mei Lai Swan is a cello-playing songstress living in the
Central Desert of Australia. Originally from Melbourne, she moved to Alice
Springs for what was supposed to be a brief stint in the desert and almost two
years later has the red dirt stuck under her fingernails and can't seem to
leave. Instead she has emerged onto the national music scene with a stunning
debut EP titled The Morning Tree. A collection of 6 and a half songs that
travel effortlessly back and forth between genres, with arrangements including
full strings, horns and breakbeats, 'it is the lush sound of the cello and her
unique captivating voice that make Mei Lai's music so enticing' (Triple J
Unearthed).

What you should know about Rosie Burgess

Rosie spent 2006 touring and promoting her previous album (view though a little
distracted), spreading her bluesy folk sound to festivals and venues all around
the country. She has supported the like of; Ash Grunwald, Mia Dyson, Deborah
Conway, Chris Wilson and Blue King Brown, and has also performed at Festival of
the Sun and Woodford.
May 2007 saw the release of Rosie Burgess's album 'Humbe Pie'- distributed
through MGM and published by Fogsongs. Now in 2008 she has release a cover
single of 'Linger' now avaliable on iTunes only.

What you should know about Jesse Morris Band

Jesse Morris writes folk driven roots reggae on acoustic guitars with the
support of a 5 piece band blending violin, flute, percussion, bass and samples.
Son of legendary blues player John Morris (the Blues Preachers) Jesse was
brought up on traditional roots music playing guitar from the age of 6.
Along with featured tracks on compilation "Home Grown Roots" 1 & 2
(fogsongs/mgm) the Jesse Morris Band has independently released two singles
Bales Of Nothing (2006) & Feel No Pain (2007).
The Jesse Morris Band, with support from label foghorn records, will release
their debut EP in November 2007 backed up by a tour of the east coast of
Australia and a full length feature album with a national tour in early 2008.
