Reply | Forward Message #33 of 336 |
Upcoming speakers in Sydney, Byron Bay (Australia) and Los Angeles (USA)
for our Songsalive! songwriting critique workshops:

Come to regular Songsalive! workshops and develop collaborations, meet
industry guests, showcase and workshop your music for feedback in a
professional and supportive environment. Our workshops often feature
guest speakers representing all facets of the industry from A&R,
publishers, successful producers, CD production and distribution execs
and, of course, writers and composer who share their ideas, tips &
techniques on all aspects of the songwriting craft. The workshops are
open to all songwriters and music composers of all levels and music
genres and you don't have to be a Songsalive! member to attend. It is
usually best to register your attendance in advance. The first half is
solely dedicated to an in-the-round workshop where writers present one
song each - either on tape, CD or live - followed by an INDUSTRY
DISCUSSION with a guest speaker in the second half and plenty of time to
talk and network. SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKERS EVERY MONTH hand picked from
publishers to record company A&R, well-known songwriters, authors,
artists and music industry reps.

About, what to bring, and location and website links below.

DAYLLE DEANNA SCHWARTZ

appeared on OPRAH and is on a major book tour for her latest: "I Don't
Need a Record Deal! (Your Survival Guide for the Indie Music

about her fabulous book here. Dubbed the "Indie Music Guru," Schwartz is
one of the few women to reach her respected level in the music business.
She's often the only female speaker at a music conference and receives
many letters from women who consider her a role model. Schwartz, who
also writes personal growth books, is in the media regularly, including
appearances on Oprah, Inside Edition and Howard Stern and top
publications. She was recently quoted in the Sunday NY Times and has
done dozens of interviews since June.
