Tecoma 'Home Brew' National Tour





As part of an extensive national tour in the lead-up to her debut album "Home
Brew" release, award winning singer-song writer Tecoma will be performing her
infectious brand of alternative roots music at The Vanguard on March 7th.

In the last little while Tecoma has shared the stage with Ben Lee in Berlin,
performed for Swedish royalty in an outback steakhouse, with Sarah Blasko at the
close of the Darwin Festival and headlined shows at the Famous Spiegletent in
Edinburg. In 2006 Tecoma was the recipient of a John Butler Seed grant and APRA
professional development award, in recognition of her song writing capabilities
as well as her capacity to make a significant contribution to music in
Australia.



With songs born in the desert and shaped in the city, Tecoma's unique mix of
influences range from contemporary roots, to jazz and traditional middle eastern
music styles. This bold new music has been penned by an individual spirit and
has best been described as City-folk; Music that knows its history, but is
elbow-deep engaged with life unfolding all around it, present tense.



With a stronghold of fans across the country and a much-anticipated debut album
due for release in the near future, Tecoma is creating waves in her wake and you
get the feeling that she's only just warming up.
