The Woodenelves
Trips Between Worlds
Label: Spinning Blue Records
Distributor: MGM
Format: CD Album
Release date: 7th May 2007
Our office has been getting down this
month to this CD. It was a real injection
of cool into the place, with a disc
full of indie rock pop that will have
you singing along whilst feeling that
you are not only joiningthe boys on
their journey but being an essential
part of it. A killer disc with great instrumentation,
lyrics & the performance
just shines. We love it!

You have to get excited about this

have collated a killer bunch of tracks
from their muscal world & its a great
way to check out some great discoveries,
indie hits & of course great music.
Completely diverse, this is a musical
education on one disc.
Grow Your Own has been around for
quite a while as a series, and i reckon
this is the best yet.

Rosie Burgess
Humble Pie
Label: Payne Street Records
Distributor: MGM
Format: CD Album
Release date: 7th May 2007
She has been touring around the
country with some of our top acts for
the past couple of years and now its
Rosie's time to shine in the spotlight
- this has to be one of the most lov-
& fresh discs on the market at the
moment... without being bitchy, its
really what you would expect from
Missy Higgins, but the execution is
better. (Sorry Missy) This disc takes all
the elements of indie folk pop & slam
dunks it on each track. A pure delight...
and although its humble pie,
we suggest gorging yourself on it!

Angelik
It Won't Stay That Way
Foghorn
Review by Alexis Cured
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Angelik adhere to the age-old 'three guys playing the instruments, one
girl providing the rest' formula, and it works fairly well for them. Although no
new ground is broken lyrically on their new EP, Laken shouts her angst to the
ceiling with enough rage to make up for it, while the boys - Sam Baroudi on the
six-string, Nick Parker on the four, Nick Hadley keeping the beat - are frenetic
and consistently tight, keeping the energy up over all five tracks. Comparisons
to the Distillers are unavoidable, but that's not such a bad thing, is it?While
they may not be anything new, this EP proves that Angelik can deliver the goods,
and is well worth a listen if you're in to grungy girl-punk.
