One all pistons firing






With the official retail release this week through MGM, a 5/5 review (see
below), launch shows in Melbourne(The Tote presented by PBS FM) and Newcastle(
The Cambridge close to sold out on presales) this week the latest in one of the
longest running indie compilation CD's in the country couldnt be off to a better
start.

For the first time the compilation is truly National with live shows in all
States except Tassy coming up over the next few months and a wealth of talented
bands from all over to go with it.

The Final line up of this years Grow Your Own - Upload One is
Sideswiped(Enmore - NSW), Angelik(Aselaide -SA), Tokenview(Sydney - NSW),
MurmuR(Newcastle - NSW) Supersede(Sydney - NSW), Behind Chicken Wire(Penrith
-NSW), The Monkey Face(Melbourne - VIC), Cloud9(Western Sydney -NSW), Matt
Heath(Sydney - NSW), Synkromesh(Woolongong - NSW), Hailer (Sydney - NSW), OD
Tommydogs (Melbourne -VIC), The Black Stars (Byron Bay - NSW), The Honey
Palace(Sydney - NSW), Vonsonic(Parramatta - NSW), The Wednesday Society(Perth
-WA), Swimming Underground(Newtown - Sydney) The Tracks(Austimer -NSW), The Very
.Unique.Existence (Byron Bay - NSW)

Many of the bands have already received major airplay such as The Black Stars on
Triple J and Angelik and The V.U.E on the Austereo Network and were selected
from over 300 submissions. The bands either recorded their track from scratch at
Damien Gerard Studios in Balmain or submitted a finished Master recording.

This release follows the long tradition of Grow Your Own cd's running for over a
decade now and providing an excellent tastemaker snapshot of up and coming acts
from around the country for both industry and consumers alike.

The past success stories speak for themselves, here's some of note : -

You have to get excited about this one. Australia's Foghorn Records have
collated a killer bunch of tracks from their musical world & its a great

way to check out some great discoveries,indie hits & of course great
music.Completely diverse, this is a musical education on one disc.

Grow Your Own has been around for quite a while as a series, and i reckon this
is the best yet.
