Damien Gerard Studios has partnered with 20th Century Fox and Myspace as part of
the Hitman Promotion to record the winning band for the upcoming motion picture
"Hitman".

Hitman is an edgy new action movie adapted from the video game series of the
same name. The film is released in cinemas across Australia on November 1.

For a chance to take part in this killer Hitman opportunity, and potentially
become another MySpace music success story, bands must submit their song between
August 8 and August 29. The top 10 finalists will then be picked by the
filmmakers and uploaded to the MySpace site [www.myspace.com/hitmanmovie], where
the MySpace community will decide their fate and vote for their favourite track.

For Immediate Release August 2 2007
Cass Eager launches her 'Beautiful Day' on Australia

She's played for our troops from East Timor to Eygpt, toured across US/Canada
three times, and even given Prince Harry guitar lessons!

And now Cass Eager returns home to launch her debut album 'Beautiful Day' in
Australia at The Vanguard next Sunday August 12.

'Beautiful Day' (out now through littlebliss/MGM) has already charted in the Top
10 on Canadian Radio (Festival) and debuted at No.12 on the US Roots Music
Report. In Oz, the single of the same name is enjoying airplay on Triple J, ABC,
and was Nova Unsigned Find. Tracks Mag has given it an impressive 4/5 review.
'Cass Eager's voice has an alluring timbre and her vocals are sung with the kind
of heartfelt sincerity that makes you want to believe in every word she utters .
. . Several of the songs, like 'Beautiful Day' in particular, will have you
singing along pretty much the first time you hear them'. (Tracks)

Cass's sound travels the gamut from soul to blues, folk to gospel and roots to
reggae. Her distinctive pipes and guitar playing have drawn comparisons to
everyone from Bonnie Raitt to Jack Johnson, Nina Simone and Ben Harper . . .
with a hint of Janis Joplin always thrown in. Despite these comparisons, 'soul
sister Cass is no pale imitation' (NDL). She's been described as 'one of
Sydney's most gifted singer-songwriters, whose refreshingly honest, raspy,
almost Joplin-esque like voice is hers alone, and whose eclectic songwriting
will spellbind the listener.' (Drum Media).

In the last year in Oz, Cass has played the Rip Curl Surfing & Music Festival in
Bells Beach (VIC), Broadbeach Blues Festival (QLD), Peats Ridge Festival (NSW)
and the Vintage Blues & Roots Festival (WA). Overseas, Cass has showcased at
NXNE and CMW (Canada) and SXSW (USA) as well as her own tours through NYC &
across Canada. Her humanitarian efforts in East Timor (having toured there 5
times) led to 'Beautiful Day' appearing on 'Timor-Leste - Freedom Rising'
compilation CD, along with artists such as John Butler, Missy Higgins, Kasey
Chambers & Paul Kelly. And Cass has already performed with the likes of The
Beautiful Girls, Alex Lloyd, Diesel, Lior, Paul Kelly and Jeff Lang. Coming up
in 2007 Cass is touring with Ash Grunwald, and to her own growing oz fan base at
festivals and shows across WA, QLD, VIC and NSW on a national 'Beautiful Day'
tour. The single will also appear on the 'soundslikecafe' Cafe sampler CD (MGM).

On stage, Cass is herself armed with an acoustic and lap steel guitar, electric
ukulele and stompbox. But Cass will be performing with her full band at The
Vanguard, including Dave Marsalis (Yothu Yindi, Tim Finn), Paul Searles
(Skunkhour, Jenny Morris), Greg Royal (Tambalane, Wendy Matthews, Liz Martin)
and Jan Rynsaardt (Freeway, Chase The Sun), and special guests. Support on the
night is Wesley Carr, who has gone solo since his band Tambalane (a
collaboration with Silverchair drummer Ben Gillies) and other musical ventures
with the likes of Andrew Farris (INXS), Don Walker (Cold Chisel), Missy Higgins,
Paul Mac, Endorphin and Abby Dobson.

Don't miss Cass Eager launching her album 'Beautiful Day' live at The Vanguard,
42 King St Newtown, Sunday August 12, with Wesley Carr & special guests.

Tix available at the venue (www.thevanguard.com.au / (02) 9557 7992) and through
moshtix (www.moshtix.com.au and usual outlets).

For Immediate Release July 16
Once again a hot crop and a fine mix for Home Grown Roots

Home Grown Roots Volume 2 - The long awaited follow-up to the 2006 Volume 1
album which featured Hawksley Workman, Karl Broadie and of course Angus and
Julia Stone -who were up and comers at the time but have now enjoyed
considerable success since they signed to EMI soon after their inclusion on the
album.

Following on from the success of last year's debut, the Home Grown Roots series
returns with a scorching selection of some of Australia's finest roots and blues
music and a feature international track

From Canada's Joel Plaskett -'Nowhere with You' which made it to Number One on
the Canadian chart. From the opening track by Sydney's own live heroes
'Rastawookie' and the title song from Mia Dysons ARIA award-winning album
'Parking Lots', through to Australia's newest crop of emerging talents such as
Rosie Burgess and Josh Owen. The album has artists from almost every state and
territory - even NT and Tassie. This stellar compilation is rounded out with the
inclusion of a solo track from the acclaimed former member of George, Tyrone
Noonan and an absolute classic version of the old Leadbelly tune 'Ella Speed' bu
Chickenhead to close the record with the only cover version in the twenty song
lineup.

Hot up your ipod or stereo with Home Grown Roots Volume 2, released JULY 23rd
through MGM and soon to be on Itunes and other download sites;

First review for the album
With a tracklisting as long as your arm of impressive blues, roots and indie
talent, this edition of Homegrown Roots is a window into the minds of some of
this countries great performers as well as the up and commers. The standard is
incredibly high, and as a music lover you will completely dig the genre
diversity here. Its a disc filled with passion and quality top notch music. With
names like Rastawookie, Rosie Burgess, Tyrone Noonan being just the tip of the
musical brilliance here, you know that this disc is well worth the bucks and at
least a thousand spins on the cd player.5/5 POP REPUBLIC JULY 2007

"You have to get excited about this one...a killer bunch of tracks from their
musical world & its a great way to check out some great discoveries, indie hits
& of course great music"5/5 POPpoints.
The Dwarf
"An ascending and speedily delivered riff is an impressive opener which almost
immediately turns into a better than average pub rock song; a fashion the rest
of the album follows.
The audio quality of the album is by far the best aspect of the package. The
sound is clean, clear and yet it maintains a raw, edgy and passion fuelled
quality; one that many bands would benefit from".

THE WOODENELVES SIGN U.S. LICENSING DEAL

Fresh from the recent launch of their debut album, Trips Between Worlds, Perth
band The Woodenelves have signed a US licensing agreement.

The deal, with Undercover Tracks based in Los Angeles, paves the way for The
Woodenelves' tracks to be pitched to TV and film in the US.

Undercover Tracks' Isabel Pappani said she was thrilled to have added the band
to her catalogue.

"The songs that The Woodenelves have written really lend themselves to film and
TV placements and I expect them to be well-received by music supervisors and
studios alike," she said.

"The US licensing market has been very receptive to using Australian music in
productions. It can be a good revenue stream as well as a door-opener for
international artists who wish to gain some momentum in the States."

The opportunity for The Woodenelves to sign to Undercover Tracks was sparked by
the WA Music Industry Association's '2007 Australia Post WAMi Music Business
Conference'.

"We applied to be part of the Conference's Live Pitch session and were lucky
enough to be chosen to showcase one of our tracks to film and TV music
supervisors," said The Woodenelves' frontman Travis Caudle.

"Isabel was one of the Live Pitch panel members. She contacted us after hearing
the music and we took it from there. We're really pleased to be working with her
and are grateful to WAM for opening this door for us through their Conference."

WA Music Industry Industry Association (WAM) Executive Director Paul Bodlovich
said, "This is exactly the kind of outcome that the Live Music Pitch Session was
intended to produce, and gives us the impetus to include it as a regular feature
of the annual WAMi Conference.

"It's so exciting to present a session like the Live Music Pitch, which not only
gives artists feedback on their music but has the opportunity to present real
commercial opportunities. Having quality panelists like Isabel involved
guarantees value for all the participants."

Undercover Tracks was founded in 2005. Isabel Pappani is a former VP of Creative
for Festival Mushroom Records based in Los Angeles, and has worked with and
continues to work with Australian artists such as Eskimo Joe, Motor Ace,
Gyroscope, Gerling, Sonicanimation, Amiel, Youth Group, Machine Gun Fellatio and
28 Days.

Earlier this year, The Woodenelves' signed a publishing agreement with Sydney's
Fogsongs. Last year they took out two national songwriting awards for two tracks
off Trips Between Worlds and have also featured as the house band on Rove Live.

Title - VOODOO MUDSLIDE

Release - August 2007

Label - RAZORBLADE/MGM

Website - www.myspace.com/thebolters

Here is the first single 'Driving me away'.From the new album Voodoo Mudslide by
Sydney band '4Bolt'.

A song about the tragic and confusing disintegration of relationships and the
personnel struggle for equilibrium that follows.

It also a discreet // loud rock song in the simplest of terms. A large
production crew nailed the film clip for 'Driving me away'.

The clip was shot entirely on 16 and 35mm film is due for release next month.
The director for the clip,

Jesse Frazer has put in a huge effort as the clip features a crazy car stunt
co-ordinated by 'Mad max' stunt guru Grant Lee - Page.

His son Leroy Page drove the car and we are happy to say it all looks mad (Pun
intended) plus there was no deaths or injuries.

'Driving me away' is also featured on Anti - Cinematic Romance, a high paced
surfing movie created by leading youth orientated surfing Magazine,

Waves. Cover mounted on next months issue as a DVD.

Media
Single recently added to Satelite music Australia
Video added to Music Jungle (National Nine Network)) & Rage
Reviewed on Rockus " a more produced, slicker hard punching sound that has the
feel of sitting somewhere between the Deftones and the Smashing Pumpkins. "

Ever had the urge to put a harmonica to your lips and start playin'
the blues? Maybe you've tried, but sounded more like Dylan on a bad
day than Sonny Terry or Little Walter.

'Mouth from the South' Tony Maguire is coming to the rescue with a
series of beginners harmonica workshops in July covering Sydney,
Newcastle, Port Macquarie, Orange and Wollongong.

"The workshop gets you playing simple blues riffs within the first
15 minutes and you walk away with a solid foundation to develop your
playing," says Sydney-based Maguire, who got the 'Mouth from the
South' tag when he lived and played harp in the Northern Territory,
where his 'Clarry's Blues' can be heard as the intro theme to a
radio blues show beamed out of Alice Springs each week. Closer to
home (well, MOST peoples' homes!), he was a competitor in the Golden
Harmonica Championships at Tamworth this year.

Called Introduction to the Harmonica, the workshop tour starts
Sunday July 1 at the Harp Irish Pub in Tempe, Sydney, then goes to
Newcastle on Saturday July 7, Port Macquarie Sunday July 8,
Wollongong Saturday July 14 and Orange Sunday July 21. Workshop
times are 11:30am-3.30pm.

There are 20 spaces available per workshop. Cost is $125 including
lunch, practice CD and a gleaming new Silver Star harmonica courtesy
of workshop sponsor Hohner.

Enquiries: Tony Maguire 0402 388742 tmaguire01@...

PS: Go to http://www.abc.net.au/brisbane/stories/s1846449.htm to see
Mouth from South being interviewed on ABC breakfast radio in
Brisbane during his last workshop tour early this year. You can also
hear a 15 second grab of him playing live on air if you've got the
right media player!

Damien Studio News MAY 2007

Sessions;

With many of the Home Grown Roots artists recording their tracks for the
upcoming compilation as well as the usual sessions the Balmain studio is
bursting at the seams;

Rocking blues act Chicken Head have re mixed their track for the album
(originally tracked at BJB) with Russell Pilling.

Jesse Morris and the Project have been recording an EP inlcuding their Home
Grown track and this time Jesse enlisted the help of friend Leroy Lee(currently
supporting Missy Higgins)

to guest on some songs - Leroy (pictured) will also be appearing on the Roots
compilation with his own contribution -Blowing Smoke as heard on Triple J

Van Sereno is back from overseas and has 2 different projects on the go down at
the studio.

Perth producer Brendan O'Brien used the DG's 2" tape and classic analog gear to
track the beds for the next Garth Adam release wcih will be mixed in Perth.

Alice springs boys Zenith (recently supported Hilltop Hoods in NT) make the trip
to Sydney this month to track a new album at the studio with Marshall Cullen
producing and Russ Pilling behind the console.

Central coast politically minded rocker Kaijin treks down to the big smoke also
to start work on a new set of songs.

The Golden Age continue work on their tracking sessions from last month with
Russell.

Alex Rousos will be lining up for Home Grown Roots and has remixed an existing
track at the studio for his inclusion.

Klia Zuka has returned to recod her Home Grown track and used well known skins
man Lloyd G(Friends of man) for the sessions.

Finally Andrew Beck will be working with a 'country soul' act this month- quite
a departure from his usual fare.

The Red Stairs Room has seen many a session as well with voice overs, audio

ROSIE BURGESS SPREADING THE WORD

Following a successful Melbourne Launch on the weekend for her brand new album
Humble Pie, released this week thru MGM and also availabale on itunes, Rosie is
preparing for her NSW album shows.

  - Triple J started playing tracks from the album on Roots n All and Home and
Hosed last week and poprepublic have given the album a stunning 5/5 review

"This disc takes all the elements of indie folk pop & slam dunks it on each
track. A pure delight..and although its humble pie, we suggest gorging yourself
on it!"

5/5 POPpoints

Playing straight from the heart, Rosie keeps herself warm with her skillful
rootsy guitar, harmonica and mandolin playing, singing up a storm everytime she
takes the stage. Her music flows out of her whole body- at times edgy and
intense, at times raw and beautiful, it is always original and gripping.

"When you have heard rosie perform, you're sure to be tongue-tied trying to tell
people how good she is..." says Dave Ritter, organiser of the Bruthen Festival
of Blues and Arts.

2006 was an exciting year for Rosie Burgess, with gigs and festival appearances
all over Australia. The year saw Rosie play along side some of Australia's
finest musicians, including Ash Grunwald, Mia Dyson, Deborah Conway, Chris
Wilson and Blue King Brown. Now for 2007 its Rosies turn in the spotlight with
headliners and festivals across the country coming up - be sure to catch her at
a venue near you.
