For Immediate Release - Michael Abboud

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NOW IS THE TIME FOR MICHAEL ABBOUD

Singer songwriter Michael Abboud is no stranger to the music industry. Aside
from composing music all his life, Michael's history also involved running some
of Australia's and Los Angeles' most infamous clubs (LA's Backstage with biz
partner Ian Copeland) that catered to the music industry's elite. Michael often
found himself on stage or in a studio in the wee hours performing alongside
diverse talents such as Slash, the Gypsy Kings, Rod Stewart, Mick Jagger, Sting
and Snoop Dog.

Enter 2008 - Michaels latest EP "Time" is OUT NOW VIA MGM. The music draws
comparisons to Cat Stevens and Jack Johnson, and is already receiving airplay on
a host of community and regional stations across the country including SMA,
2NCR, 2SSR FM, Crow FM, 3UGE, Noise FM, Norfolk Radio, 2BBB, Rebel Radio, Twin
Cities FM, Break O'Day FM and Sounds Like Cafe

Michael is also signed to the elite Frontier Booking International (FBI) agency.
FBI has been a firmly established booking agency for over 20 years, handling
such artists as Sting, R.E.M, Squeeze, Morrissey, The Go-Go's, New Order, Nine
Inch N, etc.... Frontier Booking is considered to be one of the top booking
agents in the world with offices in Los Angeles, New York, and Japan. "A
talented Australian singer/songwriter that I am proud to represent", IAN
COPELAND (president FBI agency Hollywood)

Michael's home in Byron Bay is nestled on a tranquil and lush hill overlooking
sugar cane fields where you can hear the waves crashing in the distance. This
vision truly represents the natural, down-to-earth beauty of the music on the
EP.

But beneath the tranquillity lies a man filled with enviable memories and
outrageous stories of his escapades with some of the world's greatest ever
musicians - checkout-

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE NEW SIGNING NICK AND LIESL

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE NEW SIGNING

NICK AND LIESL Sign to Fogsongs Music Publishing.

Fogsongs Music are proud to Announce their signing of Nick and Liesl to a
worldwide Publishing and distribution deal-

Nick and Liesl first appeared on the Australian Scene with a track each on the
Home Grown Roots compilation back in 2006.Since then they have relocated to the
NSW Central Coast and recorded their debut EP 'Wyong River'(MGM) -
The EP was recorded at the couples home studio over the course of approximately
twelve months and they enlisted seasoned professional Rod McCormack to mix and
master the CD at his handy Central Coast Studio.

With Liesl hailing from Sweden the pair have quickly established themselves as
a favourite on the coveted European Summer Festival circuit where they
completed their second summer tour earlier this year and since returning have
performed to sell out crowds at The Basement, The Vanguard, Lizotte's and
various Festivals such as and are slated for Peats Ridge Nannup Music Festival
Western Australiathis year as well

The guys have had a strong development relationship with Marshall Cullen of
Fogsongs with Nick even doing a stint in the Label office helping to promote
Home Grown Roots back in 2006 so the publishing deal was a natural progression.
And of course with them all living on the Central Coast the deal was sealed
outdoors over a beer in the leafy surrounds........

Hello Music Lovers!

I hope you are well and happy!

I have been busy with gigs, recording and busking my derriere off in order
to raise the funds for my album to be finished. My derriere is now very
small indeed.. so I thought to myself - "Self, DO something " ... so here is
my idea....

Jessica Paige Debut Album pre-order pledge

And at this stage your help is vital for me to be able to finish my marooned
album in this decade :) The pledge is for $20 or whatever you think, and you
get a copy of the album at the end of the process - the CD YOU helped make a
reality.

You may ( or may not) know that I have many awards for my songs and this
crop for the album are the best of the best... they are beautiful, soulful,
and heartfelt. If you go to www.sonicbids.com/jessicapaige/audio

you can have a listen to some of the songs for the album that are just
rough mixes (at the bottom of the list) - they still need polishing, but
you'll get the idea...

Please read the info on the following link ( this is how you make a pledge)
!

http://www.fundable.com/groupactions/groupaction.2008-09-14.3475527241/group
action_view

What is Fundable?

Fundable.com lets groups of people pool money to make purchases or raise
funds. Each page contains a description of how much money needs to be
collected and what it will do. Once enough pledges for a collection have
been secured, Fundable turns them into real payments and sends the total to
the collection's organizer.

If a collection expires before reaching its total in pledges, Fundable
deletes all pledges and never charges money.

I really appreciate your support and am looking forward to sending the
signed CD to you!

Jess x

ARTIST:- Lana De Angelis

Title ^ Umbrella
Release date: October 11
Label: FOGHORN /MGM
Website- www.myspace.com/lanadeangelismusic
Buy link http://www.waterfrontrecords.com
What you should know about Lana De Angelis;
As a precocious 14 year old, she bravely (and perhaps a little too
enthusiastically!) took on the seedy microcosm that is the Sydney Music Scene.
Rocking up at dingy pubs on a school night, her acoustic guitar on one arm and
her mum often on the other, Lana was sharing drinks with bar flies and singing
folksy protest songs while her classmates were hanging at the local mall.
Though not the most conventional way to earn some pocket money, these early
encounters with the local songwriting set triggered a deep affinity for the
simplicity of lyrics and melody, and set our dread locked heroine on a path much
more fulfilling than the one offered by her conservative catholic high school.

Upcoming shows,
Peats Ridge Festival - NSW

ARTIST:- Mei Lai Swan

Title ; Calling The Sky
Release date: October 2008 - digital single
Label: Vitamin Records
Website- www.myspace.com/meilaiswan

Buy link http://www.vitamin.net.au

What you should know about Mei Lai Swan;
The branding 'unique' is bandied about far too often when it comes to musicians
and the art they practice - but in the case of cellist and songstress Mei Lai
Swan it's entirely appropriate. Originally from Melbourne, she moved to Alice
Springs for what was supposed to be a brief stint in the desert and more than
two years later has the red dirt stuck under her fingernails and can't seem to
leave. Instead she has emerged onto the national music scene with a stunning
debut EP titled 'The Morning Tree'. A collection of 6 and a half songs that
travel effortlessly back and forth between genres, with arrangements including
full strings, horns and breakbeats, 'it is the lush sound of the cello and her
unique captivating voice that make Mei Lai's music so enticing' (Triple J
Unearthed). The depth and enchanting quality of her lyrical music is grounded in
a love of songwriting, a gift for the unexpected and a keen sense for just being
human.

Upcoming shows,
15/09/08 @ Control Music Managers Workshop - Terrigal, NSW
20/09/08 @ Araluen with Neil Murray - Alice Springs, NT
03/10/08 @ Art at the Heart Club - Alice Springs, NT

What you should know about DEXTER MORPH;
Like a funkified psychedelic Woody Guthrie, Dexter Moore certainly put the
mileage behind him as he spent his early years hitching and busking around the
world. As one of his self portrait lyrics portrays in a tribute to Jack Keroac
'Desolation angel, just a dharma bum, Lonesome traveller on the road' This is a
seasoned traveller whose only inspiration was to live the artists way and to
keep the music real. Here then is an artist walked away from a major record deal
in London in order to keep his integrity intact rather than become one of those
who would become what the industry wanted them to be.

        Upcoming shows,
Residency at Iguana night club on the Central Coast starting in October

What you should know about Luke Koteras;
Luke Koteras was born in Sydney on July 28, he is well known for his optimism,
social appeal and passion to succeed. Between having all of these traits and his
natural fearless nature, he always can step up and conquer any challenge
presented before him. Most of the Worldly population would classify him as a

What you should know about Michael Abboud;
MICHAEL ABBOUD'S first live show at the infamous Jamison st, Sydney attracted
known artists such as NEIL SEDAKA, PETER ALLEN, and Sydney's A list. An original
singer/songwriter and performer, MICHAEL has been composing songs since his
early teens for Warner Chapel, Peer Music, JIMMY CLIFF, SONY THOMPSON (PRINCE),
RON LASTER, TONY COOK (THE JAMES BROWN SYNDICATE) and other international
artists. CHADWICK models discovered Michael and he went on to feature as the
main lead on many campaigns including ELIZABETH TAYLOR'S campaign (fragrance
Jewels) shot on the QUEEN MARY LA.

ARTIST:- Transit Inc

Title ^ Transit Inc
Release date: August 2008
Label: MGM
Website- www.transit-inc.net
Buy link- www.waterfrontrecords.com

What you should know about Transit Inc;
Brothers Anthony Castellano (lead vocals and bass) and Mark Cass (vocals and
drums) had kicked around in the Sydney music scene since the mid 90's in a
variety of musical projects, paying their dues and honing their skills, but
lacking a sound to set them apart from the myriad of bands on the scene.
Transit-Inc's first incarnation came about in 2005, but it wasn't until they
discovered their musical soul mate in Rob Russ (vocals and guitar), who helped
them re-define how the Cass brothers thought about and engaged with music.
Transit-Inc's current line up emerged and with it, a truly unique sound that is
distinct and familiar at once.

Upcoming Shows;

Too Bad" adds a new backing to a live vocal from Eva recorded at the Blues Alley
in 1996. Sounds Like Café Volume 23 also features the brand new single from Paul
Green, "Some Simplicity" plus a track from former MGF singer/songwriter Pinky
Beecroft, "Fabulous Driving".

Australia's largest café music network will also be enjoying the latest from
Virginia Younger "Colour My World", the new single from emerging artist Michael
Abboud "Time" plus Triple J favourite Kym Campbell with a gorgeous track from
her debut album.

THE ORPHANS: Inspired by artists such as Gillian Welch and Ryan Adams,Nick
Payne and Lyn Taylor have brought their unique experiences and abilities to
produce the distinct sound and feel that is The Orphan's music, an acoustic
roots style of bluegrass and country with very different musical roots.

CHICKENHEAD: Chicken head's Roy Payne is one of Sydney's best-kept secrets.
Over the years, Roy has forged a reputation as a first-rate guitarist and
lap-steel player, appearing live alongside people such as Don Walker (Cold
Chisel) and renowned Nashville songwriter Jim Lauderdale.

LUKE KOTERAS: Since his 2006 album FATE , Luke has taken his unique style
around the World, even perfroming at The Cavern in Liverpool - His virtuosity
encompasses not only acoustic contemporary style finger picking but also
electric. His new Instrumental album Acoustically Yours is due out this month.

NATHALIE D NAPOLEON: Sharing her time between California and Western Autralia,
she believes one woman with a guitar and a voice can make a difference. This
singer-songwriter who goes solo with a genre-straddling fusion of Americana,
indie-rock, and alt-country, makes her mark on the roots music scene with
original lyrics, impassioned delivery and her lamenting reflection on the human
condition.
KRISTY COOTE: After touring around the United States this year, she has
collected a number of co-written songs from LA, Nashville and Bermuda. Her
sound has been described as a "sweet ethereal vocal style which wraps around
her distinct earthy pop sound" with influences from ELvis.

NICK AND LIESL: Just back from their second european tour, these two unique
voices, flowing hamonies and captiving songs, are coming from two
singer/songwriters with influences ranging from Nick's love of Cat Stevens and
James Taylor to Liesl's classical songbooks and the local folk music of her
childhood home Sweden. Currently playing on the ABC Local Network and Triple J.

NICK AND LIESL return to Australian Shores

Wyong River EP Launch at THE BASEMENT, August 19!!! Tix selling fast book via
www.moshtix.com.au

In 2006 they received national airplay on Triple J after featuring on
compilations Home Grown Roots and Sounds Like Café. In January 2007 they took
their music to the international stage performing to audiences throughout the UK
and Sweden. Having spent the last year recording their debut EP and touring the
East Coast of Australia, Nick and Liesl are about to hit the tarmac fresh from
their second European tour before launching Wyong River at the Basement in
Sydney on August 19. This last year's hard work has paid off with a number of
festival performances and supports for major artists such as Kate Miller-Heidke,
Kasey Chambers and Shane Nicholson, Harry Manx etc, as well as a Folk Award
nomination and performance at the 2007 ABC Music Awards in Newcastle.

  DRUM MEDIA REVIEW August 12

If younger readers want a reference point that makes sense to them, I guess they
could think of this singer/songwriter duo from the central Coast as a bit like
grown up Argus and Julia Stone. Husband and wife rather than brother and sister,
there is more of a rootsy approach to their song writing but like the Stones,
they write separately rather than together, with Liesl Karisson's songs a little
closer to the pop side of things in a Clare Bowditch kind of way. Sort of a more
melodic Walt s. If you like with the Aussie accent.

FINAL REMINDER - TOMORROW, THURSDAY 14 AUGUST, THE EXCELSIOR - FOVEAUX ST -
SURRY HILLS - 8pm
GROW YOUR OWN PRESENTS: UPLOAD TWO SHOWCASE
HAILER

http://www.myspace.com/hailermusic
Based in Sydney, Hailer play vibe-packed rock'n'roll that makes everyone in the
room turn their head and stomp there feet. Hailer formed after a chance meeting
in late 2004, and within a few months set about playing as many shows as
possible, from dingy pubs to flashy clubs, in Sydney and up and down the East
Coast of Australia. Now, having established the reputation of being one of the
best live bands in Sydney, Hailer regularly headline major venues across town.
They have also supported bands such as the Mess Hall, Peabody, Bertie Blackman,
Hitmen and the Lost Valentinos... to name a few.

Their debut EP "Like a Uniform" (2008) has just been independently released, and
follows in the footsteps of their highly successful and acclaimed single "All I
Wanted" in 2007. Hailer will tour nationally throughout 2008.

Hailer's appeal is universal - their music transcends fads and focuses on the
undeniable - writing and performing great songs. This is a band who play with
every fibre of there being, who write with honesty.

THE GRONKS

Latest review -
http://powerpopaholic.blogspot.com/2008/08/gronks-cats-and-dogs.html

http://www.myspace.com/thegronks

The Gronks are based around two singer songwriter pals that decided to write an
album with no pre-determined style agenda and a heady disregard to conventional
pop formats. For months they conducted spontaneous writing sessions in darkened
studios letting the music take them where it dared. The result is a pastiche of
glam rock, alt country, lounge and indie rock, brimming with melodies and stream
of consciousness lyrics.

The Gronks are no strangers when it comes to recording so they set about it with
vigour over several rocket-fuelled sessions, with legendary knob twiddler
Russell Pilling, at the cosy Damien Gerards in Balmain. A few guests popped in
to help, like Marty Wilson Piper who tears it up on the overtly rock track Touch
the Sun. Whilst recording to 2" tape with a live band (including APRA stalwart
Tim Denny on drums) plenty of digital trickery and analogue tom-foolery was
employed to ease the songs into their natural state of being. In between
sessions the live Gronks ensemble managed gigs at the Peats Ridge Festival and
the delightful Lilypad stage at the Surry Hills Festival.

The irascible Jorden Bach mixed with his highly evolved German ears in his
Orange Room and finally King Willy 'Spock' Bowden put the project to bed at his
plush Stanmore mastering studio. Resplendant with fine wood panelling and an
uber luxurious couch inherited from Festival Records. Arty types Flying Sausage
put their hands up to make the clip for 1st single Dirt, a Napolean
Dynamite-esque homage to unpleasant bosses and we know a few. Some musical
reference points might help at this stage and surely REM, Wilco and Crowded
House would be useful places to start. Meaningful pop music with manners and a
hint of the Good Weekend.

THE HONEY PALACE - Mark Wolfe

   http://www.myspace.com/thehoneypalace

Mark Wolfe is the original founding band member, starting from art college 2000,
with the line up morphing from five piece, four piece or three piece, the
current form. Drummer, Murray Steward works in a music store and has played as
the main drummer since 2003. Bass player Mathew Hall, has been with the band
since the start of 2006.

Wolfe has written and produced all of the current released Ep/CD roms songs and
lyrics and has a publishing deal with Fogsongs, Darlinghurst, Sydney, Australia.
He currently has new demo material that he has played live and he is ready to
record. There is new material for solo-unplugged band and full band.

Working as an independent artist, and being self sufficient on a cottage
industry scale (managing, booking local and interstate shows/tours, doing
artwork, making video-clips/short films) enables Wolfe to organise, record and
release a range of CDs.

He recently toured WA and played to a sell out crowd at the Annandale only last
week.

Promises to be a great night!!
