I acknowledge that the land described above was stolen from the indigenous local people. I acknowledge that there has never been a formal and legally binding Treaty in place over this land. I wish to begin the process of forming a legally binding Treaty on the above land, with input from all the people who are involved.
I wish to “pay the rent” to the first people of Australia, and, in turn, be given the right by Australian Aboriginal Law, to live at this address, with my family, in peace, permanently.
Indigenous Peoples of Australia must also be ensured the right, by both the English legal system and under Australian Aboriginal Law, to live at this address, with their families in peace, for as long as they wish.
To “pay the rent”, I will always provide sustainable sustenance (as it is becomes available) to anyone who comes to this address. I will primarily provide sustenance to my own direct family, and residents of this address, and then as surplus is available, to all short term visitors.
I respectfully request that no Rum be consumed at this address, by anyone, as I see this drug as problematic in that it can inflame violent personal tendencies and cause violent actions in all races of people.
Signed
Anne Goddard
