Thanks for that Bob, greatly appreciated.
Unfortunately the message was copied and pasted into an email and the
formattting was very bad by the time it reached the list. My apologies.
I have had an email from a member of this list as to the relevance of this
post on the Climate Change Action Group. I understand the confusion. Below i
have attempted to shed a bit more light on why the issue of the illegal
colonisation of Australia by the English is so important to climate change
mitigation.
As many members are already aware, i am involved in many issues, and to me
they are all simply tiny peices of a large jig-saw puzzle that, at the
moment, is badly broken.
My goal is to get all the bits back in their right places, until that time,
I believe, we cannot live in peace on this planet.
Climate change is happening because of our global overuse of our precious
resources. We (our societies, our governments, our private businesses) have
been using, selling, exploiting and wasting our finite resources for way too
long, in a selfish and uncaring way with little to no thought for future
generations or the state in which we/they leave our planet, a place we all
must all share. A planet with resources we all must share, EQUALLY and
FAIRLY.
Multinational companies such as Halliburton and Rio-Tinto have no hesitation
to stamp on anything that stands in their way when it comes to providing a
profit for their shareholders. I will post more about this soon.
I have learned, through direct contact with some Aboriginal Australians that
i greatly respect, that until we address the rights of the indigenous people
of Australia (and the rights of the indigenous of all lands across the
globe), we will continue to chase our tails in the "fighting" cycle.
Whilst we continue to attempt to genocide entire races of people and their
Sacred customs, traditions, religions and Laws; the hate (racism, terrorism,
etc) grows stronger and ever more powerful.
Australia and her resources do not belong to the English Government which
stole this land or to our puppet Government that does not do the honourable
(or honest) thing by her people, as they were elected by the people, to do.
The Howard Government is stealing our hard won rights and way of life, just
as they have stolen this land from the Australian Aboriginal people.
Australia and her resources do not belong to Mr Halliburton or Mrs
Rio-Tinto, to you or i, or to the rest of the world. The expansion of the
nuclear industry in Australia is a perfect example of how Australian
Aboriginal Law is being broken. "The poison, leave it" are the words of SA
Aboriginal Elders, see http://www.iratiwanti.org/home.php3
Australia's bountiful, and dangerously deadly resources have been kept safe
by the original inhabitants of Australia, in accordance with their
traditional Laws. And, in their hands, they have remained safe. Whilst we
continue to steal Australia's land and resources from her rightful
custodians, we break the Law. The Indigenous Law that is right and good. The
warning being freely given to us by the Aboriginal Australians... can easily
be ignored, or apologised for in the future... as can their attempted
genocide (which continues to this day). The deadly legacy which will be left
for future generations by the nuclear industry is further "blood on our
hands".
A Truce is necessary.
A Treaty is necessary.
And we need to heed the wisdom of the Elders of Indigenous People from all
over the world, learn from them, and respect their ways and their wishes and
in particular, we need to respect their sustainable way of living.
It is with these thoughts in mind that I posted the "survival prayer", and,
earlier, the first draft of the "Treaty" to this list.
In my mind, this issue (respect for our traditional owners and their wisdom)
are pieces of the larger jig-saw, and to get the picture right, we need to
ensure that all the pieces are in the right place.
Perhaps I am wrong to further post on this issue to this group "Climate
Change Action"....?
Unfortunately, as I am the originator of this group, I cannot be moderated
by anyone apart from myself! If the group so wishes, I will "moderate"
myself further and discontinue to post indigenous wisdom. Feedback, either
direct or off list, welcome.
Warm regards
Anne Goddard

[For Deliverance from Extinguishment]
[extinguishing >> extinguished >> extinct !!!]
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Our Colonial Overlords whom art in Government
Shallow be thy name
Thy kingdoms done
Thy will shall not be done on earth
As it is not done in heaven
What you give us this day is our daily Dread
You treat us like trespassers
But it is you who trespass against us
Lead us not into extinguishment
But deliver us from this evil
For thine is the government
The power without glory
Though never forever
Amen.
