Re: [ClimateChangeAction] Re:Gaia Scientist Lovelock Predicts Planetary Wipeout

Hi Bob,

I've been thinking about what you speak of - how there have been
groups of people since the 70's and perhaps earlier who have been
observing and discussing all the stupid human behaviour and the
destruction which has followed. I'm so in awe of you guys. I'm 36
and I've only been cognisant of the problems and growing green for
the last 16 years. It's unbelieveable that we still have so called
leaders like Bush and Howard who are only just beginning to get it.

I was saying to a friend today, that Climate Change is what we've
been wanting for. What the greenies have been discussing for a long
time now is reality - it's happening and something has to be done
asap to correct all the problems. The greenies now have a legitimate
reason for the solutions they've proposed to be taken seriously and
implemented. That the right wingers can go away (ie. $#@% *&^) and
leave the lefties / greenies to manage this planet from now on.

The Climate Change Action party is a good idea and politics is the
best way to push the agenda. I'd like to see it done in a
centralised and managed way. The analogy I provide for why I say
this is the green movement in general. I feel that there are so many
green groups that seem to work separately and independantly of each
other, and many times seem to compete with each other. Although the
details aren't the same, the message and desires of all the groups
ultimately are. And so I'd like to see a united front that can push
the issues and wants forward in a unified way. We have legitimate
political parties in the Greens and Democrats and I'd like to see the
support for them grow (and perhaps even they should form a
coalition). I hope I haven't caused anyone offense in these thoughts.

Thanks again Bob and all for helping to move us forward on an
understanding of the matters of great concern to us all. I hope we
can help make the solution a reality.

Cheers,

Brooke
