Hi all,

Please read the very clear and important reports from GreenPeace -
South East Asia, about climate change, renewable energy and
why "nuclear power is NO solution for clean energy".

IMHO, we must talk and ACT about cutting on greenhouse gasses but
ALSO say "NO" to nuclear energy. Both are more than just related,
because many governments and the nuclear lobby will do all they can
so everyone accepts the idea that nuclear energy is the only clean
energy to reach the goals of the Kyoto Protocol. And that is a lie
according to the GP reports. The ONLY CLEAN solution is to use
renewable energy at a very big scale to become a healthy and clean
world for now, for the coming years and many centuries.

As I wrote before, only Australia has still to ratify the Kyoto
Protocol because Pres. G.W. Bush of the US didn't UNSIGN the Kyoto
signature of Bill Clinton. Countries as India, China and others,
have no obligation to follow the schedules of Kyoto because they
are "countries in development. I just did read that somewhere on the
internet, so, please, if I am wrong, I should be happy to see some
reference with other statements. How we could convince J. Howard to
abandon "dirty" coal energy and not using nuclear in the future will
be very difficult. Australia has much coal in his soil and is, with
Canada, the biggest producer of uranium. So, why should the J.
Howard government in power invest billions of dollars in renewable
energy?
