I recently asked the group for endorsement for the Peace Convergence.
The only feedback which was not (clearly) supportive was the comment from
Peter Bright.
And i do not disagree with Peter's he statement, I fully understand that the
peace convergence is a political
statement (and action).

In my opinion, many individual statements (and individual actions) places
political pressure where it is needed, such actions
continue to raise public awareness about the issues we face ... and that a
positive future of change is needed (in our political system) for our planet
to survive the worst
effects of climate change (and continued, unabated Global Militarisation for
control of oil and natural resources).

My family and I are attending the Peace Convergence, and i have arranged to
join the Cycle against the nuclear cycle on the Rockhampton to Bundaberg
leg.
I would like to participate in these actions as our spokesperson.

Perhaps there is another member of the CCA group attending the peace
convergence/joining the CANC ride who would like to be spokesperson?
If not, I would be honoured if members would consider me speaking (to media,
etc), about the "politics" involved with increased militarisation and
climate change "links" on behalf of our group.

Do i have members approval?
