Does the Hoop Iron Railway interest you?

Share your ideas, interests, experiences and web addresses, as well as your photos on this list.

As long as it is EP, or used to run on the EP or is going to run on the EP we're interested.

What is the EP?

It is South Australias' Eyre Peninsula. Home to an isolated 800 odd kilometer (500mile) narrow gauge railway that has been in service for close to 100 years.

Its primary Product is grain, but also about a million tonnes of Gypsum per year.

We are also interested in the BHP tramway at Whyalla, and the former sand line between Proper Bay and Coffin Bay. Members also model the division.

Our Home Page Photo is by Alan Wilson, and is provided by his son, Bob. Taken 30 January 1958 - it shows an E class loco discharging ore at Iron Knob.
Enjoy the narrow gauge action.
