Please note that Corsair NSW website hosted by Talkcity is
temporarily unavailable. The notice says from 12 to 25 June but this
could be on US time zones but it should be available soon.
The site is at:

PS To Corsair sailors and officials from interstate, this group is
not intended as specifically for NSW (thats just where I sail), so
feel free to post any news for any state or for Corsairs generally
here.
To the best of my knowledge, the moulds are all owned by Blue Water
Marine in Melbourne. Hulls (or the full boat) can either be bought
from them or boats can be bought second hand. There are usuallysome
boats on the market.
One place to try also is

There were 2 reminder messages generated from the calendar for the

Please don't worry about these 2 messages.

Hello Mathew,
It will be good to see some corsairs from Canberra attend the Central
Coast Championships in October. We have not, at least in recent
years, had any Corsairs from Canberra attend this event, but all are
welcome.

We will try to bring three boats that we have purchased over the last year.

Hello all.
I have recently movd to Wagga Wagga from Coleambally and are crewing
on a Dennis 5.5 at Wagga Wagga Boat Club.
I am also getting my old Corsair ready to aail with the club next
season. She's an old boat 165 and is quite heavy but I enjoy mucking
around with her.
The main is usuable for cruising but is totally blown out for racing.
Do any reasonable second hand mains come onto the market or can
someone raecommend a sailmaker.
Tony
Now that the sailing season is nearly done and the cold, dark winter
draws near, we put our boats away and think of races won and lost.
Now is the time for us to decide, where to for next year. The
committee can decide for all of us who enjoy sailing corsairs, but
they are not the whole of the various corsair associations around the
country. They would, I am sure, appreciate the input from others.
To the best of my knowledge, four states at least still have state
corsair associations. But without member support, they cannot
survive. If you enjoy sailing in a corsair, support your
association. Join up, remain a member, and support events by
attending as much as possible.

welcome to post a message here.
If anyone wants to buy or sell a Corsair, you can use the webpage

to look for boats or the relevant email address on the page to place
an entry on the page.
You can also place an entry on this group by clicking on "Post" on

Anyone is welcome to place an entry whether buying, selling or for
any other purpose related to corsairs or sailing in general.

I have created a folder under bookmarks for clubs where corsairs are
sailed and placed an entry for my own club, Budgewoi Sailing Club,
into this bookmark folder. Everyone is welcome to place a similar
entry to website and/or group for any other club or organisation in
Australia where there are Corsairs.
Happy sailing.

Everyone, please feel free to post any Corsair or related sailing
pictures into this group, whether those pictures are from a Corsair
event anywhere in the country, or a Corsair or related class

for the fun of being on the water. If there is not an appropriate
folder, then feel free to create one.
You can also post any news as messages here too. (Please, anyone,

to encourage everyone (skippers, crew and support).
Hello Matt,
There is a series to be held at Illawarra Yacht Club 16/17 February,
the Inland Waters Championship. (I realise that Illawarra is not
exactly inland, but when planning the calendar ofr the year, we
decided that we needed to try to have an event south of Sydney, so we
used the Inland Waters Championship.) All are welcome.
Information about this series and the State Titles at Easter have
been placed on my Corsair website:
http://home.talkcity.com/BoxSeatBlvd/corsairnsw/
Notices of Race for both events are also there.

This group is for all Corsair sailors, boat owners or not, and all
other people interested in Corsairs. This also includes anyone who
is a friend or relative of a Corsair sailor, and anyone who is
thinking of buying or sailing in a Corsair.
You can view photos and messages without joining, but to use this (or
any other group) to full effect, you need to get a Yahoo ID to log on
(you can join using an email address only, but then some features may
not be available). If you do this, then you can vote in any polls
(these give the committee a better idea on venues and other matters),
post pictures (related to Corsairs or sailing in general please) or
post messages.
Members can also invite others to join or visit this group. We need
more members if we are to make this Yahoo group a useful place to
Corsair sailors.
If you have any trouble with your settings for this group, then
contact me. I will be happy to advise. I would suggest to new
members to set your message delivery to daily digest (like I have
done), if you prefer to not get all posted messages as separate
emails. You can also set to none if you prefer to read all messages
here.

Please feel free to post messages, add photos (to do with sailing and
sailing Corsairs please). This group is intended to help promote
sailing Corsairs and also Corsair racing at the club and class levels.
Corsairs are 16 foot (5 metre) fibre-glass dinghies, sailed in many
parts of Australia (there are a few overseas, around the Pacific as
well). The normal crew number is 3, but they can be sailed
comfortably by two people in light to moderate conditions. The class
is family orientated, and they can suit people of all ages, sizes and
skill levels.
Corsairs are a stable, forgiving boat, good to learn in or to sail
competitively.
Welcome to this group. I hope you enjoy your visit. Please join if
you are interested.
