I saw a commercial about removing a wart or corn earlier, and of course decided that would be the next topic for here! However, all of the suggestions below wouldn't stop me from just running out and buying the product intended to remove them- except that most of these links are pretty informative in lots of other areas, too! --"Cheyenne Cin"

Blood root contains skin-irritant compounds (chelerythrine and sanguinarine) plus proteolytic enzymes, substances that help dissolve proteins such as wart infected tissue.  Warts are caused by a group of 3-5 different viruses that enter through broken skin.  It is probably these proteolytic properties and possibly some anti viral properties which explain blood root's folk use as a wart remover.  Blood root can also be used effectively to treat open sores, eczema, and other skin diseases.

This link is the most 'boring' - unless you really have a wart you want to remove. Then it's good!-- Cindy

Natural wart remover

Banana peel contains a substance that is highly effective at destroying warts and is recommended by dermatologists. Place a small amount of peel against the wart and hold it in place with adhesive tape. Change the peel daily as needed and continue for 2 weeks or until the wart is gone.

NOTE: these treatments are not recommended for genital or facial warts
(unless, of course, you want to start a new trend by taping a banana peel on your face for 2 weeks! --"Cheyenne Cin")
