Cindy I know you don't believe me however I would recommend you read "Children of a Toxic Harvest" by Eve Hillary and published by synergy books. it is a true story and my parents know the woman concerned. it is her autobiography of her struggle with MCS/CFS and goes into quite a lot of detail.

Toni- I think we are pretty much on the same page. Only the 'very small' for stability part- I think stress is a huge part. And chemicals, drugs and processed foods- and sugar, are the culprits. I think where we part ways is that you believe a lot more comes from before birth than I do. Diet changes that you mention are generally wonder workers. So are environmental and disciplinary improvements. I disagree with you about not laying a hand on them. Certainly not advocating abuse. But God, who inspired all of the Bible scriptures as well as creating human beings, gives directions for how to spank. And of course always children probably under about ten- older than that (or much older) is inappropriate, but with proper discipline it wouldn't be necessary later, anyway, although an occasional grounding might be in order for teenagers. Another reason (spanking, I mean) that both biological mother and father need to be in the picture and the love for the children abounds as priority, even in discipline. And Christianity abounds in the household. No ADHD for THOSE KIDS- with proper dietary standards, too. Toni Marie, you are so correct in specifying asperger's, too- that is EXACTLY the ritalin (etc.) induced kind of autism to which I refer. --"Cheyenne Cin"On Mon, 2 Aug 2004 00:49:17 +1000 "Toni Kingsmith" <tonimarie@...> writes:Cindy I agree a very small part of it comes down to stability. the rest I feel is chemicals, drugs and processed foods. I'm starting to see rather to many cases where get rid of the drugs, get an organic diet that is free of anything processed and suddenly they aren't such a huge problem anymore. the same is being found with many other things as well including aspergers. and discipline if you start it right from early on then you mostly don't need actual beltings. I may not have kids of my own but I can whip them into shape when they try me out without laying a hand on them. I could go into a lot more stuff but you would just wipe that as being anti christianToni Kingsmith
