Symbio's Food
Effects Index

Welcome to this site.
The purpose of this index is to assist individuals who are interested in learning about the physiological and psychological effects of consumables on the human condition.
As I discovered while developing this database, all edible substances have profound and measurable influences on the human body. These effects will certainly vary depending on individual characteristics such as age and sex. Generally speaking, however, this index should be helpful to those of you who are seeking to maintain a healthy lifestyle and may be seeking alternative options to what ails you.
I claim no medical training or expertise; nor do I have a background in nutrition. I do, however, have an interest in these subjects, and that is why this database has been constructed.
I assume no responsibility for how you may wish to use this information. It is available so that you can become more informed, and perhaps be able to make more educated decisions about your health or the health of others. It is purposefully condensed to help facilitate your search.
PLEASE be careful how you use the information contained here. Consuming more of a substance certainly does not necessarily magnify the results of eating just a little. In fact, the opposite can be true, and the results can be disastrous. Though I believe the sources are valid and reputable for this information, my recommendation is to treat everything here as if it hasn't been tested. This will afford you a measure of protection, and if you decide to make use of this data to relieve what ails you, remember to do so in moderation. Always remember that other drugs and consumables you take will certainly influence the effect of these substances.
So, basically, what I'm suggesting is: Exercise caution and test in small doses.
Also, I would recommend that you seek out other sources on the Internet or elsewhere to validate what is here, especially in the event you are seeking out life and death solutions to problems.
This information has been collected from various sources and is certainly not inclusive. In fact, there are many foods that have yet to be researched and listed here.
This index will be updated continuously as new information is received, so check back periodically for the latest scoop.
Edibles are arranged alphabetically. You may wish to use the FIND option on your browser's task bar to locate specific foods or symptoms. For example, if you are interested in knowing which foods have been used as treatments for insomnia, type insomnia in the FIND option box, press RETURN, and you will be transported to all references for insomnia. Pressing FIND NEXT will whisk you to the rest, etc. I believe the results will surprise you.
Bon appétit.
