Blaylock Tip of the Week

Fight Diabetes with Alpha-Lipoic Acid

Did you know that the number of diabetics in the United States has almost doubled in the past ten years? And that about 25 percent of people who have diabetes don’t even know it?

According to figures recently released by the government, 90 percent of cases are type 2 diabetes. All diabetics, especially the ones who are undiagnosed, are especially vulnerable to additional physical ailments including cardiovascular disease and neurological complications.

In addition to a healthy diet and exercise, certain specific supplements fight diabetes. My special report “The Diabetes Solution” will tell you about numerous nutrients that can lower your risk of developing type 2 diabetes. Go here for more information.

One of the most powerful diabetes-fighting nutrients is alpha-lipoic acid. It exists in every cell and tissue and is very effective in lowering blood sugar and preventing diabetic complications—especially cardiovascular and neurological problems.

It is one of the most versatile antioxidants in the body, and it also strengthens immunity, improves energy in cells, protects brain cells against excitotoxicity and removes excess iron and other toxic metals.

A number of studies have shown that it can correct blood sugar in type 2 diabetics and improve or even eliminate the need for insulin in insulin-dependent diabetics. If sufferers still have some insulin cells left, alpha-lipoic acid can improve their function.

Go here for specific information on the most potent and effective form of alpha-lipoic acid. This formulation can be purchased without a prescription, and I have had quite a few type 2 diabetics who were able to get off all medications after taking it. This form of alpha-lipoic acid has been shown to be especially effective in preventing and treating the neurological complications of diabetes.

Using this substance, most insulin-dependent diabetics will be able to control their blood sugar with significantly lower insulin requirements—while the occasional patient has gotten off insulin altogether. The best results come when you follow the diet and use the other supplements as well.

Poisons in your food, such as MSG, can also make you more vulnerable to developing diabetes. My report “How to Avoid Poisonous Foods” will give you more details.
