Eagle Christians
<>< Eagle Christians Isaiah 40:31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Character is a combination of a lot of characteristics that have become habit patterns; it’s a natural response to things. If you try to form a new habit, at first it can be hard but the more you do something often enough, it becomes part of who you are.
God wants us to have characteristics that are so much like God's that we’re a direct representative of God's. Think of a braid as an example of a weaving that is so tightly done that when you look at it, you can’t tell where one weave starts and the other ends. That is the weaving we’re to have with God. When people are around us, they can not tell where we start and end, we have those tightly, neatly weaved characteristics of Jesus Christ our LORD.
CHICKEN
The chicken if generally afraid of life, it seldom flies and ever reaches potential in life. You never see a chicken fly, they flap. All chickens do, especially when a storm comes, is stir up dirt in the chicken yard with all the other chickens. They’re all flapping around, stirring up dirt, running to the chicken house trying to find a little grub worm along the way. The chicken is a lazy bird, usually scratching around the chicken yard for grubs and worms. They always live in the confines of a fence and are satisfied to do so. They have no freedom. You have to keep them in the chicken yard. First sign of a storm they run for the chicken house so they can huddle in fear with all the other chickens.
MAGPIE
The magpie is an overly aggressive bully who abuses and generally drives others away from God. The magpie is a selfish, arrogant, self-centered to the point of rudeness. This harsh pushy Christian causes much disrespect to the kingdom of God and other believers.
KOOKABURRA
To the kookaburra, life is one big party; one big joke. He takes nothing serious, laughs at everything, even when it’s totally inappropriate. He is the court jester, the big clown who wounds, hurts and offends. Not sensitive to anything that’s happening around him. Bible says we are to be sober minded. That doesn’t mean we can’t have any fun, but it does mean we need to be aware of that’s happening around us and understand there’s a time to do things and a time not to do things.
VULTURE or BUZZARD
The buzzard enjoys the filth of life, everything corrupt, rotten and stinking. The vulture Christian is attracted to people with problems. He loves to rip people apart, tear them to pieces with his mouth. He loves to spread rumours, thinks nothing of destroying a reputation. He has the smell of death all about him.
PARROTS and COCKATOOS
Parrots and cockatoos are the talkers in the bird kingdom. They are super spiritual Christians who can talk the talk, but doesn’t walk the walk. Everything they learned they learned it ‘parrot fashion’ mimicking someone else. They have head knowledge and no experience. They are all noise and no action; no relationship with their own. They just copy cat some things they’ve seen: “Praise the Lordâ€; “Thank you Jesusâ€, “Glory to Godâ€.
COO-COO
The bible says that when we come to Christ, we get our minds renewed; some people think it says we have it removed! We get the fruit of the Spirit, not a box of fruit loops! The coo-coo bird does not like to work and is happy to sponge off of someone else. He will not even build it’s own nest. He looks for one that’s already finished by someone else. He lays their eggs there and then leaves the other birds to raise their babies! There are coo-coo birds in churches today. They exist on hand outs, don’t want to work, a lot of times they are not even born again but operate out of a religious spirit. They live by hints and call it faith.
PEACOCK
The peacock Christian is a flashy, showy bird; overly ambitious, worldly, full of pride, very much in love with and impressed with himself. He feels superior to everyone else. They love to strut their stuff: clothes, cars, jewelry, but give little or nothing to anybody in need. They have sizeable egos.
PELICAN
The big jolly bird is only interested in eating seeks whatever he can find to fill his belly with. His ravenous appetite should be turned towards the Word of God and he could become a spiritual giant, but he is happy to sit back with a beer and a smoke and let the little lady be the spiritual leader.
CROW
The crow is the bird that pesters the eagle. More than any other bird, the crow pesters the eagle. He’s a dirty little bird. He enjoys destroying the young of other species, like denominations other than his own. He loves to rip and maim. He’s out for himself. Nothing and nobody else matters, only his own selfish desires. This bird thinks nothing of ruining a pastor’s reputation or ripping apart a church. The crow is one of the most cunning and dangerous birds in the kingdom. The crow spends a great deal of time pestering the eagle. *if you want to become an eagle Christian, get ready to be pestered by the crows in the kingdom
CANARIES and other CAGED BIRDS
These are usually beautiful birds with tremendous potential, but content to spend the rest of their lives locked up in a cage; whatever that cage might be: religious tradition, dead church, inferiority / insecurity, an unhappy childhood, and they will never deal with it. They live and die behind the bars of the cage without really having lived.
EAGLE
The eagle is bold, strong, fiercely devoted. The magnificent bird understands the thermal currents of the Holy Spirit. The eagle Christian understands the moving of the Spirit and how to float effortlessly and easily. The eagle is committed, a reliable mate, a devoted parent. God has chosen this bird to liken us to so He can motivate us to strive to rise to our potential in life. The eagle is confident to stand alone in life against the storms and spreads its wings, soaring above the clouds of destruction. This bird dwells on the rocks and the high places of the earth. If you want to be an eagle Christian, one of the things you have to face is you may go through some lonely times in life and you are probably going to have a lot of times where you are going to be the only one. =================== Jesus 'made himself of no reputation', in other words, didn't care what men and women thought of him, but instead both God and to be like God. We need to not be so concerned about our good reputations with humans but our good reputations with God! --
