Subject: Hoekstra: 'Stand up to North Korea'

U.S. Rep. Peter Hoekstra said Thursday that North Korea is likely behind the recent cyber attacks and the appropriate response would be a "show of force or strength."

The Michigan Republican and top GOP member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence told The Washington Times' America's Morning News radio show that President Obama's and previous administrations' soft-touch approach on bringing such rogue nations as Iran and North Korea back to the fold is not working.

"All of these folks believe that through the power of their personality or persuasion they can bring these irrational players to the negotiating table to do rational things," he said. "And they're just wrong."

"Whether it's a counter attack on cyber or more international sanctions, it's time for America, South Korea, Japan and other countries to stand up to North Korea or the next time they'll go in and shut down a banking system ... or manipulate the electrical grid either here or in South Korea," said Mr. Hoekstra, Michigan Republican. "Or they will try and miscalculate, and people will be killed."

U.S. authorities eyed North Korea as the origin of the widespread cyber attack that overwhelmed government Web sites in the United States and South Korea, although they warned it would be difficult to definitively identify the attackers quickly. The Treasury Department and Federal Trade Commission Web sites were shut down by the software attack, which lasted for days over the holiday weekend. Others such as the Pentagon and the White House were able to fend it off with little disruption. The attack targeted dozens of government and private sites and underscored how unevenly prepared the U.S. government is to block such multipronged assaults.

Mr. Hoekstra thinks "the best people in America" investigating the incidents have reached the conclusion that the targets, the broad scale of the attacks and the timing have "all fingers pointing" to North Korea.

In the April '09 issue of Vanity Fair, I met a soul sister who tried to warn the Jews that Bernie Madoff was a fraud who would destroy their community;

Laura Goldman of Tel Aviv-based LSG Capital decided not to invest with Madoff. She even sent anti-Madoff articles to members of the Palm Beach Country Club. "I was expecting a thank you, all I got back in return was a hostile response. Some of the Madoff investors said I was behaving unprofessionally and was bad-mouthing a competitor. Oh, they were nasty. Nasty! They said the publications were jealous of Bernie. They were being anti-Semitic. People called me an anti-Semite. I'm not only a Jew, I live in Israel."

     She found out, the way I did, that there is something psychologically diseased about the Jewish mind. You live in Israel, you expose a crook, and the Jews defend the crook and call you, an anti-Semite. There is no standard definition in the annals of psychology to explain the sickness. But as their community is being destroyed by their own, the Jews stand up for the wreckers. And any Jew who tries to warn the Jews, is a Jew hater.
      And the hatred for the exposer doesn't verge on psychotic, it is mass insanity.
      It's just too easy to destroy the Jews. You murder a third of them and they learn nothing from their history except jingoes. NEVER AGAIN! Yeah, right.
      Madoff stole $55b of his $65b right from the Jews, and that included many of the most established Jewish charities. And as $55b, half of Israel's annual GDP, is lost for good, and as thousands (13,000 Madoff "clients") go homeless and penniless, who remembers Laura Goldman, the "anti-semite," who did what she could to bail them out while there was still time?
      No one, of course. Most of the victims will go to the penury lines believing she was just a loud-mouthed Jew hater who accidentally got one thing right.

Foundation Announces Plan to Initiate Process

NEW YORK, JULY 2, 2009 (Zenit.org).- A foundation announced plans to nominate Pope Pius XII for the "Righteous Among the Nations" honor, traditionally given to non-Jews who risked their lives to save Jews during the Holocaust.
Gary Krupp, Jewish Papal Knight, president of the New York-based Pave the Way Foundation, an organization that promotes interreligious dialogue, affirmed this Wednesday in a statement to ZENIT. He reported that the foundation has the nomination guidelines from the Righteous Among the Nations Department of the Holocaust Museum Yad Vashem in Jerusalem, and will open the case soon. Krupp stated that the foundation has "devoted years to gathering original documentation and video testimony on this controversial papacy and we believe we have uncovered enough pertinent material to now begin to seek the notarized written testimonies to officially begin this judicial procedure [with] Yad Vashem."
The president, himself a Jew, explained, "In most cases of those who have been honored as Righteous Among the Nations, the honoree has directly acted to save individual lives all while risking his or her own life to do so."
He continued: "The actions of Eugenio Pacelli [Pope Pius XII] do not fit this general description. However, we can establish the direct intercession of the Pope to act resulting in saving hundreds of thousands of Jewish lives. "But obviously because of the nature of the high office he held, Pacelli would almost never have been in direct contact with those he saved."
Krupp reported one exception, when the Pontiff personally interceded "on behalf of his best friend Dr. Guido Mendes, an Orthodox Jewish boyhood friend," sending the family to Palestine in 1938.
The president added, "We can also establish that the life-saving actions of Pacelli were carried out under the threat of death."

     Now my readers know what a dire threat the Council On Foreign Relations (CFR) is to the future of Judaism and Israel, and I'll be damned if I'm going to retell this horrendous tale again. The nightmare on Wall Street is far worse than a dozen movies combined of The Nightmare on Elm Street. The long-predicted financial meltdown of America's debt-ridden economy finally arrived in the Fall of 2008 under the Bush administration. The elements of a perfect storm converged. Since then, there has been a cascade of bad economic news on a daily basis that makes even those with great faith that God is in control a bit shaky.

Dr. Mark Hitchcock has connected the dots in his new book, Cashless: Bible Prophecy, Economic Chaos, & the Future Financial Order. Hitchcock presents the best case I have read as to how America has changed forever and how it applies to what the Bible foretold. He asks the right question: "What if the global financial chaos is not just a massive economic meltdown but rather, the genesis of a dramatic, tectonic shift toward a global economic system?"

People in pain are willing to go along with almost anything the government proposes if it can stop the economic bleeding. Thus, global cooperation has been astonishing. In tough times, people are willing to surrender freedoms, make concessions, and cooperate in ways never imagined. And this is why many Americans are going along with the socialization of our country.

The words of Thomas Jefferson are a stark reminder and warning: "A government big enough to give you everything you want is strong enough to take everything you have." There is a cry for a "global fix." The only question is, how soon will it be fully implemented?

The rush toward globalism and a cashless society will grease the skids for the coming of the slickest politician the world has ever known. He is called the Antichrist, the son of destruction, the lawless one, and the beast. He will seize the reins of world power and the global economy to advance his own agenda.

Many have wondered what could possibly happen to make the world ripe for the arrival of this evil one. Yes, a collapsing financial system is a setup. But there also must be a longing for a "man with a plan." A "Mr. Fix-it." We see how much of the world considers Barack Obama to be "president of the world." Evan Thomas of Newsweek said of him, "Obama's standing above the country, above the world. He's sort of god."

I am not suggesting Obama is the Antichrist. But the adulation knows no bounds. Search engines reveal thousands of references to him as a "messiah."

In the last ten days we have seen more "man worship." As an attendee of Michael Jackson's funeral said, "He's our prince, he's our king." While the constant news coverage of the event has been intolerable, it reveals that once again mankind longs for a "savior." No matter how sick Jackson was, to many, he was and is a god. The longing is there.

Nations are uniting like never before! Get used to hearing about the G-7, G-15, G-20, G-30. There must be a forced economic alliance to stay afloat.

Today the Pope called for a "world political authority." In his 30,000-word encyclical, he pushed for "reform of the United Nations Organization, and likewise of economic institutions and international finance, so that the concept of the family of nations can acquire real teeth." He is calling for the mandatory transfer of wealth from the haves to the have-nots through the brute force of the state. He even offers one suggestion as to how this might be made less objectionable to those whose wealth would be taken.

So now even the Pope is a part of the "perfect storm."

Back to Mark Hitchcock's book that outlines all of this without naming the names I have. There are approaching hoof beats from the four horsemen of the apocalypse. It's just a foreshadowing now. They appear in the Tribulation, which we are not in at this time but read about it in Revelation 6:1-8. You can read about financial collapse, hyperinflation, and famine in the land. Don't think it can't happen! It did in the Weimer Republic in the 1920s and it is taking place today in Zimbabwe. In both instances a day's wages were and are required to buy a loaf of bread! And with the Federal Reserve printing money faster each day, the logical conclusion is hyperinflation in America in the near future.

So when will we be cashless? We're in the process. From online payments to direct deposit to credit card use, the world is more and more comfortable without the burden of cash. As one pundit put it, "Buddy, can you spare me a card swipe?"

It's all a setup that is foretold in the Bible. How tragic that many denominations don't take such passages literally. They allegorize them as though they were nothing but a fairy tale. And why would God write fairy tales? Those folks who take this allegorically, or who have skewed eschatology, are missing out on the clues to all that is happening today.

Israeli Experts Believe There May Be a Major Oil Source in the Dead Sea Area

The Israeli National Parks Council has granted three major petroleum companies in Israel permission to do exploratory drilling for oil in the Judean Desert Nature Reserve in the Dead Sea region to see if there is a major source of oil in the lowest location on the Earth.

Led by Ginko Oil Company, the three companies believe that this is the best chance for Israel to find oil, a much needed commodity in the Jewish state of Israel which relies on the Arab world to supply Israeli oil needs.

The geological department at Hebrew University says that the fact that oil has been found previously in this area near the Dead Sea could mean that there is more in the region.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The potential for a major source of oil in the Dead Sea area in Israel is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Over the years, there have been a number of petroleum wildcatters, speculators, that have suggested various locations in Israel where oil could be found. Many of these speculators even used the Bible to help convince investors to get on board searching for this oil.

Now, three very legitimate companies in Israel have received permission to do exploratory drilling in a nature reserve near the Dead Sea that could be a major source of oil, a natural resource much needed in Israel. Should these companies and this exploratory drilling prove to be successful and they find a major source of oil in Israel, it will be that which prepares the way for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled. Ezekiel 38 mentions several times that the invading armies that come to destroy Israel in the last days will be coming, in fact, be lured into Israel to take a spoil and maybe that spoil is oil. These prophetic passages in Ezekiel 38 are verses 4, 12, 13, and 16.

The potential for a major oil source in the Dead Sea region of Israel does indeed help set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

In the last few years, groups like the ACLU have successfully intimidated many villages, cities and municipalities into thinking expressions of faith displayed on public property are unconstitutional. Now, the Thomas More Society is striking back to defend Americans' rights to express their religious faith in the public square. For years, TMS has defended the right of Chicagoans to place an Easter Cross in Daley Plaza, and this year TMS is representing a local group to place a Nativity Scene inside the Illinois State Capitol -- for the first time in the Capitol's recorded history!
