Rep. Cynthia Lummis Daily fact on women and health care -- Women play significant roles in the health care industry: 90% of nurses; 98% of personal and home care aides; 88% of healthcare supportive occupations; 49% of pharmacists and 32% of physicians are all women.
(SADLY, sexism still abounds, because most doctors and administrators, etc., are still men. Women are in the majority, but are subordinates. --"Cheyenne Cin"- P.S. And they are mostly younger in this profession, while the patients, also to be overwhelmed by women, are women! I do think people put in the 'patient' positions prefer the ones attending the them to be women, because we are more secure in our states of 'undress' as women with women, not men, we like the empathy, etc. And of course male patients like the women surrounding and tending to their needs, too. Pretty much the same reasons children and animals respond to femininity than to scary masculinity! )
(IT is NOT UP TO THE POLITICANS to stick their noses in all domains, incl. this one. It's up to employers and self-discipline!-"Cheyenne Cin" - P.S. Oh yeah, I forgot- they want to be ALL of our employers, and they have little self-discipline!)

Cross Saved From Fire
WHEN GOD DECIDES TO SAVE ANY THING FROM DESTRUCTION-THEN SAVED IT IS.
(Couldn't find any thing on Snopes to dispute this one)

Notice the cross on the bottom right of the hill on fire.

Before the very last picture in this sequence.

Even the fire fighters that were near the cross as it was surrounded with flames said it was going to be destroyed.

The next day Gene Blevins/ photographer went back to the scene to get some more shots and saw that the cross was not even touched, not even scorched from the heat.
IF THAT DOESNT MAKE YOU THINKI don't know what will!

Do Saudis have the clout to destroy NYMEX?
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/markets/6480746/Do-Saudis-have-the-clout-to-destroy-NYMEX.html
Editor’s Note: NYMEX is the financial exchange where commodity products (such as oil) are traded. This financial intermediary helps those who produce commodities to contractually sell these goods at a specified time (in the future), in a specified quantity, and at a pre-determined price. These are known as “futures” contracts. Saudi Arabia wants to get a better price for their oil than being provided through the current arrangement, and as the leading oil producing nation has considerable clout in this regard. The end result could result in even higher prices for oil in the future, and a reduced role by U.S. financial institutions in the transaction process by which oil is bought and sold.
John Terry
Revelation Files
For Saudi Arabia, it is a philosophical issue that the black gold pouring out of its deserts should be treated as a tangible, physical commodity – not the paper plaything of traders on Wall Street hedging against the weak dollar. This thinking is at the heart of the Middle Eastern country's decision last week to abandon its long alliance with West Texas Intermediate crude – the famous oil used by most global producers to price their exports to the US.
It is both a technical issue and a symbolic shift that strikes a blow to the domin-ance of the New York Mercan-tile Exchange, the world's biggest centre of oil trading where the most popular products relate to WTI crude.
Saudi Arabia exports around 1.5m barrels per day of oil to the US, making it the second largest supplier after Canada, but its physical crude output is not actually traded on the exchange. This is done separately through contracts between countries and oil companies – but Saudi Arabia still bases its prices on the dominant benchmark, WTI.
For several years now, Saudi Arabia has argued that it has not been well-served by the New York Mercantile Exchange's faith in this oil. Saudi Aramco, the national oil company, is fed up with being given a price for WTI crude that it claims fails to represent the global picture of supply and demand.
This year, the dominant crude oil's volatility and disconnection from the fundamentals of the physical market went one step too far.
Frustration began to mount 18 months ago when the oil price hit record highs of $147 per barrel. This seemed to suggest that there was not enough oil being produced to meet demand. But Saudi Arabia complained that it could not shift the extra 500,000 barrels of oil per day it dumped on the market to try and meet this phantom shortage. Aramco blamed speculators that NYMEX had not kept under control.
At the other end of the scale, when the oil price hit rock bottom earlier this year, the WTI crude benchmark appeared to be too low in relation to global demand. The WTI crude is usually about $1 more expensive than London Brent, but at one point in January, it fell $12 below the rival European benchmark. The problem was inadequate storage at Cushing, Oklahoma, where physical WTI crude is delivered. The reserves were full to bursting point, creating the illusion of an oversupply in the international markets when the severity of the glut was in reality localised to this particular terminal.
A more general complaint has been that Oklahoma is not close enough to the coast, making actual physical delivery against contracts difficult and divorcing it from the global trade of oil that crosses the ocean in supertankers.
There was clearly little keeping the alliance between Saudi Arabia and its traditional benchmark together. WTI crude, being sweet and light, is not even the best match of oil for the Middle Eastern nation, where the produce is sour and heavy. Aramco will now price its oil based on a basket of sour US Gulf crudes more representative of global oil production, according to an index designed by Argus, of London.
The question now is: how much clout does Saudi Arabia have to destroy the dominance of NYMEX and who could be next to follow its rebellion?
The exchange moved quickly to assure its customers that it would launch two products linked to the new Argus sour crudes index. But the new benchmark will not be so inextricably wedded to the famous Wall Street exchange.
In practice, the shift may not after all make an immediate difference. But all oil market observers will wait to see whether the Saudis really do get a better, more stable price for their oil with the benchmark of sour crudes. Brazil, Venezuela and even Canada could all follow suit if they see that Saudi Aramco has made a smart move.
Some analysts even believe that a total shake-up of global oil pricing benchmarks is possible. There have been signs that the Saudis are looking to experiment with different ways of getting better returns, frustrated by the refusal of Western exchanges to reform the way that oil is priced and sold.
Smaller exchanges, such as the Dubai Mercantile Exchange, which is aligned with the physical market rather than futures, could eventually start stealing market share from the bigger London and New York trading forums.
RM THE future of palm oil, the world's most traded edible oil, has long been under pressure from the environmental lobby, which argues that the commodity is a major contributor to climate change through wide-scale deforestation.
United Biscuits, the maker of Jaffa Cakes, signed a hefty deal to buy exclusively sustainable supplies from the London-listed New Britain Palm Oil last week, while Sainsbury's pledged to switch to the green version by 2014.
However, a new survey shows inventories of environmentally-friendly palm oil are severely oversupplied, with only a fifth of the 1m barrels in storage in demand. Meanwhile, bog-standard palm oil has risen 45pc over the last 12 months to $645 a tonne, with food makers seemingly unwilling to pay out a $10-$40 premium for its sustainable cousin.
Natural gas
Natural gas prices are still severely depressed and lagging the stronger oil price, as the energy majors reporting third-quarter results gave uncertain outlooks for the commodity.
Royal Dutch Shell said it has seen no improvement in demand at all in Europe and little in the US. Prices have fallen by 62pc this year, compared to an oil price 41pc lower.

CONFERENCE CDs AND DVDs BEING SHIPPED THIS WEEK
www.olivetreeviews.org
I am not just trying to make a sale! You need the information shared at "Understanding the Times 2009." From current events that are only understandable from a Biblical perspective, to the false teachings and teachers marauding through our churches, to the "signs of the times" as it concerns the last days, this information is essential. Are you wondering why we have galloping globalism with Barack Obama leading the charge? We cover it all.
We offer 7 CDs consisting of two messages by Eric Barger, Gary Kah, and Dr. Ron Rhodes. We also include the closing Q & A session. The same material is on 4 DVDs and includes all of the speakers' PowerPoint presentations.
The CD cost is $30 + $5 S/H and the DVD cost is $55 + $5 S/H. You can order on the Web site, by phone, or by mail. They will also be offered in our November -- December "Understanding the Times" print newsletter.
Jesus chastised the Pharisees for being able to discern the signs of the weather but not the signs of the times. God was pleased with the Sons of Issachar for understanding the times found in I Chronicles 12.
Since you have all been called for such a time as this, please consider being equipped for these perilous times.
If the tide of our times allows, save the dates of October 8-9, 2010, for our next conference with Dr. David Reagan, Dr. Mark Hitchcock, Gary Kah, and Mike Gendron. It is tentatively scheduled to be held at Grace Church again. We realize this can be an inconvenient location for some. If you know of a facility that holds at least 3,500 and is more centrally located in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, please call our office.
Attendees came from 15 states and Canada this year. The attendance for two days was between 4,000 and 5,000.
We appreciated Mike and Linda's comments, attendees from Texas: "My wife and I had a glorious time at the conference in October. After many months of following Jan's ministry via podcasts, we decided to come to Minneapolis to see and hear it all in person. What a blessing it was. We bought Jan's book Trapped in Hitler's Hell about Holocaust survivor Anita Dittman and want to buy more for our church members to read. We are totally committed to Olive Tree Ministries for our edification and growth in these turbulent times. Also, we want to encourage others to visit their Web site."

We are pushing these products and the event itself because of our commitment to help you better understand the times and contend for the faith, not to make a buck on the products we are highlighting. We want to equip you to have answers for many who will approach you as to what on earth is happening in our world and church today.
The CDs and DVDs are professionally packaged and make a lovely gift item. Please allow at least 2 ½ weeks for delivery of the product. Some CD sets have already been mailed.
RADIO: October 31 programming is now posted to "Radio Archives" with a discussion of hate crimes, Fairness Doctrine, health care, "cap and trade," Internet control known as "net neutrality," legalizing illegals and more. Second hour, Pastor Bob DeWaay and Jan hammer home again the dangers of the Emergent Church as it is consuming denominations and destroying young people spiritually.
We air live out of AM980 KKMS, Minneapolis/St. Paul Saturdays 9 to 11 AM CST with a rebroadcast Sunday, 12 Noon to 2 PM. With upgraded audio streaming, you can always "listen live" at www.kkms.com. FRAUDULENT AUTOMATED CLEARING HOUSE (ACH) TRANSFERS CONNECTED TO MALWARE AND WORK-AT-HOME SCAMS
Intelligence Note
Prepared by the IC3

RevFiles Note: When it sounds “too good to be true”, it most likely is…there are no real “get rich” schemes and Proverbs cautions us that wealth gain hastily leads to ruin. It is the lust for money that is root of all evil, so be cautious when exploring the next “hot” deal.

Fraudulent Automated Clearing House (ACH) Transfers Connected To Malware And Work-At-Home Scams
Within the last several months, the FBI has seen a significant increase in fraud involving the exploitation of valid online banking credentials belonging to small and medium businesses, municipal governments, and school districts. In a typical scenario, the targeted entity receives a "spear phishing" email which either contains an infected attachment, or directs the recipient to an infected web site. Once the recipient opens the attachment or visits the web site, malware is installed on their computer. The malware contains a key logger which will harvest the recipients business or corporate bank account log-in information. Shortly thereafter, the perpetrator either creates another user account with the stolen log-in information, or directly initiates funds transfers by masquerading as the legitimate user. These transfers have occurred as both traditional wire transfers and as ACH transfers.
Further reporting has shown that the transfers are directed to the bank accounts of willing or unwitting individuals within the United States. Most of these individuals have been recruited via work-at-home advertisements, or have been contacted after placing resumes on well-known job search web sites. These persons are often hired to "process payments", or "transfer funds". They are told they will receive wire transfers into their bank accounts. Shortly after funds are received, they are directed to immediately forward most of the money overseas via wire transfer services such as Western Union and Moneygram.
Customers who use online banking services are advised to contact their financial institution to ensure they are employing all the appropriate security and fraud prevention services their institution offers.
The United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT) has made information on banking securely online available at http://www.us-cert.gov/reading_room/Banking_Securely_Online07102006.pdf.
Protecting your computer against malicious software is an ongoing activity and, at minimum, all computer systems need to be regularly patched, have up to date anti-virus software, and a personal firewall installed. Further information is available at http://www.us-cert.gov/nav/nt01/.
If you have experienced unauthorized funds transfers from your bank accounts, or if you have been recruited via a work-at-home opportunity to receive transfers and forward money overseas, please notify the IC3 by filing a complaint at www.IC3.gov.

Boycott Scholastic Books
by Laurie Higgins, Director of IFI's DSA -Illinois Family Institute
|
Homosexuality-affirming children's book, Luv Ya Bunches, promoted by Scholastic Book Club. |
The famous -- and soon to be infamous -- Scholastic Books has decided to include the pro-homosexual book for 9-12 year-olds, Luv Ya Bunches, in its middle school book fairs. This troubling book is already in the Scholastic Book Club catalogue, which is distributed to elementary school children.
Because of the vociferous protests of homosexuals and a petition drive by the pro-homosexual organization Change.org, Scholastic Books has reversed its initial decision to exclude the book from their book fairs. It will now allow Luv Ya Bunches to be included at its middle school book fairs.
According to the Guardian, author Lauren Myracle "who regularly makes the list of the most banned and challenged authors in the US -- capitulated on the language, removing words such as 'geez', 'crap', 'sucks', and 'God', but refused to replace the lesbian parents of her character Milla with a heterosexual couple." Scholastic Books includes Luv Ya Bunches on it's "Teacher's Picks" page as one of the "Best Books" for grades 3-5.
Change.org describes Scholastic Books as "one of the largest education publishers in the world with broad influence over the reading materials of children everywhere. . . .These are the same book fairs that have reach [sic] to millions of schoolchildren nationwide." Clearly, homosexual activists recognize the potential Scholastic Books has to transform the views of impressionable children.
IFI is urging parents to notify your children's schools that because Luv Ya Bunches is listed in the Scholastic Book Club catalogue, the catalogue is not to be distributed to your child and that you will not be ordering any books from Scholastic Books. (Click HERE for a sample message that you can edit, customize, print and send.)
In addition, notify your children's school that if Luv Ya Bunches will be included at the Scholastic Book Fair, your child is not to be taken to the fair during or after school hours.
Finally, send emails to Scholastic Books management to inform them that as long as they are carrying books that affirm homosexuality as moral, you will not purchase books from them:

From: HonestReporting <action@...>
Many media outlets have reported on the arrest of American-Israeli Ya'akov Teitel, charged with a string of domestic terrorist acts dating back to 1997. Indeed, Teitel's alleged crimes certainly warrant the use of the term "terrorism" and "terrorist." The Israeli media has not shied away from referring to Teitel as a terrorist, demonstrating a consistency that is not based on ethnic or political considerations. Mideast analyst Tom Gross attended a conference "Giving the Middle East context: Reporters view the world they cover," organized by Israel's Institute for National Security Studies. Gross was particularly disturbed by comments made by senior Dutch journalist Connie Mus, correspondent for the Dutch stations RTL 4 and RTL 5, and for Belgium's VTM TV, about how wonderful the Saudi authorities are.
