• Advocacy Of Dangerous Dietary Programs And Unwillingness To Remove Dangerous Food Substances. Recommended general diets ignore the danger of sugar excess to pacify the sugar cartel. • Aluminum Is Everywhere In Our Society (water treatment facilities use alum, foil, deodorants, antacids, cooking utensils, baking compounds) There is considerable evidence that aluminum plays a significant role in causing Alzheimer’s Disease along with mercury.
• Mercury Contamination. Dental amalgams, fish, vaccines, fluorescent light bulbs, coal power plants, sewage treatment, hospital waste disposal, crematoriums, plastic casings, batteries, paint, shoe light bulbs and thermostats all provide mercury that can reach human beings. The ADA denies amalgams are a health risk yet a broken thermometer bulb requires a detailed cleansing protocol. Mercury is the only metal that easily vaporizes making inhalation a big problem.

In Those Unanswered Questions, published on February 20, 2006, some glaring errors were made. I’m not infallible but I do strive for accuracy.

One individual, contacting me, made reference to the fact that the planes weren’t flying off the “radar screen,” they turned off their transponders. This is true. Had they been off the radar screen, air traffic controllers would not have been able to follow their paths to their points of impact. This is true for all but Flight 77 which hit the Pentagon. This plane did actually go off the radar screen, reappearing on radar as the plane flew over Washington DC en route to the Pentagon. Its return flight path is a matter of speculation.

One individual pointed out that the WTC towers were constructed of a steel shell with a central core. Research also shows this is accurate. The WTC towers, also WTC #7, were all constructed of steel support beams spaced 39” center to center, in what is referred to as a steel lattice. The windows in this lattice were 22” wide, making the beams approximately 17” wide. Pictures of the rubble piles of the towers show huge sections of this steel lattice still intact. The central core of the buildings was quite large, constructed to carry the weight of the building, steel reinforced by concrete with steel floor trusses running from the core to the outer steel lattice forming floors that were 33” thick.

Each tower had a 208’ facade. While the buildings were square, the central core of the towers was rectangular with the floor trusses between the central core and the outer steel lattice approximately 35’ at the ends of the central core and approximately 65’ on the sides of the central core. Using these figures we can deduce that the central core was roughly 138 feet long and 78 feet wide. The actual measurements would be somewhat less given the thickness of the outer steel lattice walls. This central core also housed the elevators, with express elevators going to the 41st and 74th floors with four banks of elevators carrying passengers from skylobbies at the plaza level, 41st and 74th floor to the floors in each of the three vertical zones.

Each tower was equipped with an operational sprinkler system in the event of fire. This is a fact little known and little mentioned in any of the post 9/11 information but cannot be ignored in any discussion of what really happened and what really brought the WTC towers down in such a precise manner into their footprints.

The twin towers were engineered and constructed to withstand being struck multiple times by the largest planes in use at the time the towers were built — the Boeing 707. This plane, while somewhat smaller than the Boeing 767 in overall size, also flies faster making its destructive capability equal to, if not greater than, that of the 767.

On Tuesday, September 11, 2001, at 8:45a.m., One World Trade Center (WTC 1), the north tower, was hit by a Boeing 767 commercial jet; collapsing into its footprint at 10:29 a.m. — 1 hour and 44 minutes later. Two World Trade Center (WTC 2), the south tower, was hit by a 767 at 9:03a.m., 18 minutes later, collapsing into its footprint at 10:05a.m. — 1 hour and 2 minutes later and 24 minutes before WTC 1, hit first, collapsed. WTC 7, a 47 story office building built in 1987, collapsed into its footprint at approximately 5:20 p.m. that day. In all, all the buildings comprising the WTC complex either collapsed or were destroyed by falling debris.

The prevailing story of why the WTC towers collapsed leaves many questions unanswered.

1. One of the survivors of WTC 1, hit first, was on the 104th floor when the tower was struck. She and others in her vicinity managed to make it to the elevators, enter an elevator and ride down through the strike zone. If, as one theory proffers, the center core of the building was compromised by the impact of the plane,
a. how were these people able to ride this elevator through the strike zone?
b. how is it that the building continued to stand for 104 more minutes when the building should have collapsed instantaneously on impact?

2. The heat sensitive sprinkler systems were working. Survivors tell of the difficulty they encountered going down the stairwells due to running water. This being the case, how can the claim that the planes sparked a raging inferno be accurate?

3. Relevant to the above, smoke from an “efficient” fire, one that burns hot, is white and thin, smoke from an oxygen starved fire, producing little heat, conversely producing more soot, is thick and black. How can it be said that the planes sparked a raging inferno when the smoke coming from both towers was thick and black?

4. Another theory proferred is that the fires sparked by the planes burned hot enough to weaken and compromise the steel exposed by the impact in the center core of the buildings; that the center core then collapsed bringing the buildings down. If this were the case, the WTC towers would be the first steel framed buildings to be brought down by fire, either before 9/11 or since. The fire in the 32-story steel-framed Windsor Tower in Madrid, Spain in 2005 burned for more than 10 hours, at its peak temperatures reaching 1472°F (800°C). Although no jet fuel was present, the fuel for this fire was, as the WTC towers, office materials: paper, books, desks, chairs, rugs, computers, phones, etc. Under intense heat, the top six floors of the Windsor Tower collapsed in a mangled twist of steel but the building stood, a crane still perched on the roof. Not near this amount of fire was evident at the WTC towers.

5. A camera, sitting on a tripod, filming the WTC towers, picked up a vibration much like that of an earthquake just prior to the collapse of WTC 1. This same camera picked up a bright flash emanating from the base of the building just prior to the building beginning to implode. Witnesses at ground level and near WTC 1 recount hearing a loud explosion. What was this flash and what caused it? What role did that flash play in the almost immediate implosion of WTC 1?

6. Firefighters and survivors in WTC 1 reported hearing explosions and feeling WTC 1 shake violently just prior to WTC 2 disintegrating into its footprint. Firefighters near WTC 2 reported hearing explosions and popping noises just prior to the implosion of the tower. People watching from the Brooklyn Bridge felt the bridge vibrate just prior to WTC 2 imploding; they said if felt like an earthquake. What caused the explosions that wracked WTC 2 just prior to the tower imploding? What part did those explosions play in the implosion of the tower?

7. Film of the implosion of WTC 7 shows a precise controlled drop of the building into its footprint. How was this possible when such has never happened before or since without the aid of controlled demolition charges? Luck? Coincidence?

8. Those said to have hi-jacked and flown the four planes to their deaths couldn’t even fly a Cessna aircraft, let alone take off or land. How did these hi-jackers turn these four huge planes around, then fly them to their intended targets without being able to see those targets and without being able to read the cockpit instruments which would guide them to their targets? Luck? Coincidence?

The Pentagon was struck at 9:40a.m. Flight 77, destined for Los Angles, departed Dulles International Airport at 8:10a.m., 1 hour 30 minutes earlier.

9. Flight 77 descended 7000 feet in 2 minutes 30 seconds coming in over DC. That’s screaming in a plane that big. How did a pilot who couldn’t even fly a Cessna manage to maintain control of this Boeing 757 descending at such a rapid rate? The plane follows the Potomac River south right past the Whitehouse and past the Pentagon, then executes a tight 270° turn and plows into the Pentagon on the west side in an area under renovation. Personnel in the tower at Dulles International Airport said that the manner in which the plane executed the 270° turn was indicative of a military plane piloted by an experienced fighter pilot. How did an inexperienced pilot do it? Luck? Coincidence?

10. When the two planes hit the WTC towers, they sliced through the exterior steel support beams and lattice work leaving a gaping gash in the sides of the buildings. Flight 77 was a Boeing 757. This plane is 44’ 6” tall, 155’ 3” long, with a body exterior measuring 12’ 4”, and a 124’ 10” wingspan. Each engine weighs 15 tons. The Pentagon, at its highest point is 77’ 3.5” tall. With this information, is the hole left by the impact of Flight 77 of a size sufficient to accommodate an airplane the size of a Boeing 757? If the wings sliced through the steel lattice of the WTC towers, why didn’t they slice through the softer exterior of the Pentagon?

11. Flight 77 hit the Pentagon at ground level. Picture a commercial jet coming in for a landing, nose up, flaps down, touching down on the rear wheels on a runway intended to take the weight of that plane. Now picture that same plane, nose level, body level to the ground, being flown by a pilot who can’t fly a Cessna, being able to fly that plane mere inches off the ground, impacting the Pentagon at ground level. Seem possible?

These are just a few of the more obvious discrepancies in the official story of what happened on September 11, 2001.

The existing attitude seems to be that anyone who questions the official story is somehow a left-wing commie sympathizer out to destroy George W Bush and our nation. Nothing could be further from the truth. The truth is that the official story has so many holes in it one could easy drive an armada of Abram tanks through it. In short it doesn’t add up. Americans should be asking why it doesn’t add up and demanding answers to hard questions.

Beyond that, the events of September 11, 2001, were the catalyst to the invasion of Iraq and to the passage of the Patriot Act (H.R. 3162; PL 107-56) on October 26, 2001. H.R. 3162 was the merger of three bills:

1. H.R. 2975 introduced on October 2, 2001, passed on October 15, 2001; (House)
2. H.R. 3004 introduced on October 3, 2001, passed on October 17, 2001; (Appropriations)
3. S. 1510 introduced on October 4, 2001, passed on October 11, 2001. (Senate)  

September 11, 2001 has been used like a hammer to:

1. pound fear into the hearts of the American people.
2. justify the taking of rights from the American people.
3. rally the American people around a cause in the name of patriotism.
4. rally the American people against an unseen, unproven enemy.
5. implement radical changes in America that ten years ago would have wrought howls of protest. 

Was September 11, 2001 really the work of radical Islamic Fundamentalists who couldn’t fly a Cessna let alone a jet, or was it a created crisis to effect the wanted solution; one that has everything to do with politics and power, and nothing to do with what is best or right for America as a nation or as a people?

On television, I notice they have a new prescription for this problem, but the dentist wanted me to see the gum doctor first. They have a new listerine toothpaste for gingivitis and also the regular gingivitis listerine. I have only been albe to find the toothpaste as an attachment when you buy the mouthwash! When Robert Welch coined the phrase, “This is a republic, not a democracy, let’s keep it that way,” he made an important contribution to American political debate and understanding.

The Founding Fathers and Mothers loathed democracy. The idea of unfettered majority vote was anathema to them. And that is why they constructed a Constitution that broke up government power into three separate branches—Executive, Legislative, and Judicial—and put strong restrictions on what the majority could do to the minority, and what the minority could do to the majority. The result was a Constitutional Republic, not a democracy.

In a pure democracy, the majority has the power to destroy a minority. That’s what happened in Germany in 1933 when Hitler’s National Socialist Party was voted in by the majority. Hitler then consolidated his power into the Nazi dictatorship with its deranged racism and plans for world domination. All of this was stated by Hitler in his own book, Mein Kampf, which any German could have read. At first German Jews assumed that Hitler would not last long. The Nazi movement was so much against basic German traditions of cultural and religious tolerance. But they were wrong.

And now among Palestinians, sixty years after Hitler, we have the same situation. A political party, Hamas, determined to wipe Israel off the map, has acquired political power through the democratic vote. This is pure democracy, unfettered by any constitutional limitations. Hamas has stated its plans in its Covenant of 1988: the total destruction of Israel.

It is uncanny how similar are the events that recently took place among the Palestinians and what happened in Germany in 1933. The Germans had Mein Kampf, and the Palestinians have the Covenant of the Islamic Resistance Movement, popularly known as Hamas. In the case of Germany, it led to a world war and total ruin. What it will lead to in the case of Hamas is still an open question. But if they do not renounce their plans, it could lead to the total ruin of the Palestinians.

The Covenant states:

Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it.

Our struggle against the Jews is very great and very serious…. The Movement is but one squadron that should be supported by more and more squadrons from this vast Arab and Islamic world, until the enemy is vanquished and Allah’s victory is realized…. The Movement’s programme is Islam…and the Koran is its constitution. Its extent in place is anywhere that there are Muslims who embrace Islam as their way of life everywhere in the globe.

[Hamas] is one of the links in the chain of the struggle against the Zionist invaders. It goes back to 1939, to the emergence of the martyr Izz al-Din al Kissam and his brethren the fighters, members of Muslim Brotherhood….[T]he Islamic Resistance Movement aspires to the realisation of Allah’s promise, no matter how long that should take….

The Islamic Resistance Movement believes that the land of Palestine is an Islamic Waqf consecrated for future Muslim generations until Judgment Day…. Nationalism, from the point of view of the Islamic Resistance Movement, is part of the religious creed…. Since this is the case, liberation of Palestine is then an individual duty for every Muslim wherever he may be.

Hamas sees its movement as part of the Muslim Brotherhood engaged in the centuries-long struggle against the Christian Crusades and the later ideological invasions by missionaries and secular orientalists who affected Arab education. The Covenant states:

This, in its turn, paved the way for the imperialistic invasion that made [Gen.] Allenby declare on entering Jerusalem: “Only now have the Crusades ended.” General Guru stood at Salah el-Din’s grave and said: “We have returned, O Salah el-Din.”

To Hamas the liberation of Palestine is part of the greater struggle of Islam against the Christian West, and particularly against Western ideology. “Jihad is its path and death for the sake of Allah is the loftiest of its wishes.” For this reason Hamas seeks a revitalization of pure Islamic education for Muslim men and women who will be willing to die for the cause. The Covenant states:

Side by side with this, a comprehensive study of the enemy, his human and financial capabilities, learning about his points of weakness and strength, and getting to know the forces supporting and helping him, should also be included.

Thus, it was possible for the 9/11 hijackers to live in America and enjoy its freedoms without being converted or seduced from Islam. Their hatred of the infidel provided the motivation to kill more Americans in a few hours than would have otherwise been possible. The Covenant states further:

[Hamas] believes that the land of Palestine is an Islamic Waqf consecrated for future Muslim generations until Judgment Day…. This Waqf remains as long as earth and heaven remain. Any procedure in contradiction to Islamic Sharia, where Palestine is concerned, is null and void.

There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors….

Since this is the case, liberation of Palestine is then an individual duty for every Muslim wherever he may be…. This should be realized by every Muslim.

In other words, genocide is the religious duty of every Muslim.

It is important that basic changes be made in the school curriculum, to cleanse it of the traces of ideological invasion that affected it as a result of the orientalists and missionaries who infiltrated the region following the defeat of the Crusaders at the hands of Salah el-Din (Saladin)…. It is necessary to instill in the minds of the Muslim generations that the Palestinian problem is a religious problem, and should be dealt with on this basis.

Hamas, like Hitler, also believes that Jews are engaged in a worldwide conspiracy to control the world:

They were behind the French Revolution, the Communist Revolution and most of the revolutions we heard and hear about, here and there. With their money they formed secret societies, such as Freemasons, Rotary Clubs, the Lions and others in different part of the world for the purpose of sabotaging societies and achieving Zionist interests….

They obtained the Balfour Declaration, formed the League of Nations through which they could rule the world. In twenty to fifty years, Western Europe, with its declining native populations, may be dominated by Muslims who will claim it as a Waqf.

The Covenant makes it plain that Hamas cannot compromise on its basic program without destroying its reason for being. And if Hamas links up with the Iranians who share the same views, we shall be facing a new World War against Islamic Jihad—armed with nuclear weapons.

The Anthrax Vaccine: Hiding The Truth

Time and time again over more than two centuries, America's young people have been called to defend the cause of freedom. In each instance, they have come forward, without fear or reservation, to do what is right. Today they are again fighting on foreign shores both in Iraq and Afghanistan trying to assure to others the same benefits of liberty enjoyed by citizens of the United States. Like their predecessors, they have chosen to subordinate their own well being and safety to the greater good. There can be little doubt that their unselfish sacrifice deserves the gratitude of the protected.

But it deserves something else as well. It deserves honesty and that, in at least one respect, is something that they are not getting.

Three years ago, this column first raised the alarm over the mandatory administration of the Anthrax vaccine to members of the Armed Forces. Although the Department of Defense claimed that its Anthrax Vaccine Immunization Program or AVIP posed no serious health threat to the troops and, more important, was necessary to protect the troops against the threat of biological weapons - other voices had raised concerns.

Not the least of these was the troops themselves.

Indeed, during the initial period following initiation of the AVIP program hundreds of service members went so far as to face court-martial rather than be immunized.

Ultimately, the controversy found its way into the courts.

On December 22, 2003, U.S. District Court Judge Emmet G. Sullivan issued a temporary injunction halting the AVIP program because the FDA had failed to approve the vaccine for inhalation Anthrax, the form associated with biological weapons. Two weeks later, however, he lifted the injunction when the FDA issued the necessary approval. In lifting the ban, though, Judge Sullivan called the timing of the FDA ruling "highly suspicious."

The Judge's skepticism was more than evident in an exchange with Shannen Coffin, a Justice Department lawyer representing the Pentagon:

"Only after issuance of an injunction, up pops a federal rule, and you're telling me it's coincidental?" the Judge asked.

"I'd stand on a stack of Bibles and tell you it's coincidental." Coffin insisted.

"That's an amazing coincidence." Judge Sullivan replied.

The legal wrangling, however, was not over.

Six service members, whose identity was concealed to protect against retaliation, still had an ongoing suit against the mandatory vaccination program based on different facts. They still had not had their day in court, and quite a day it would be.

On October 27, 2004, ten months after Judge Sullivan had been forced to reinstate the vaccination program by the FDA's oddly timed ruling, he again ordered a halt to the program. This time his decision was based on the failure of the FDA to allow appropriate public comment when it approved the Anthrax vaccine the previous year.

In his decision, U.S. District Court Judge Emmet G. Sullivan said:

"The men and women of our armed forces deserve the assurance that the vaccines our government compels them to take into their bodies have been tested by the greatest scrutiny of all - public scrutiny."

The service member's lawyer, Mark Zaid was ecstatic stating:

"It validates our position of six years that the program was illegal and ill-conceived from day one."

Still, the Department of Defense continued to maintain that there was no problem insisting that:

"DoD remains convinced that the (vaccination program) complies with all legal requirements and that the Anthrax vaccine is safe and effective."

Judge Sullivan was not so sure. Moreover, he was sure that there were many citizens who shared his doubts and who had not been given the opportunity to express them. In his decision he said:

"While some individuals may have submitted comments as part of a citizen petition, it is clear to this court that if the status of the Anthrax vaccine were open for public comment today, the agency would receive a deluge of comments and analysis that might inform an open-minded agency."

With the new injunction in place, the Defense Department had no choice but to make taking the vaccine voluntary. Service members soon demonstrated their doubts, with more than half refusing vaccination.

But the battle was far from over.

The Pentagon continued to press for approval of the Anthrax vaccine asserting that it was safe and effective. What made their insistence all the more difficult to understand was the fact that there was a substantial body of evidence to suggest that the Anthrax vaccine was anything but safe and effective.

In one study of soldiers at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, 44 percent of those vaccinated suffered an adverse reaction. In another study performed at a U.S. military facility in Korea, between 72 percent and 74 percent of all women vaccinated had adverse reactions as did between 42 percent and 44 percent of the men.

Nor was the military the only branch of government that had developed data questioning the safety of the Anthrax shots.

The Government Accounting Office (GAO), the official investigative arm of the Congress, conducted a study of Air National Guard pilots and aircrew members who had been vaccinated and found that 37 PERCENT had SERIOUS adverse reactions and that an astounding 84 PERCENT had some sort of adverse reaction.

Perhaps the most important data developed by the GAO was that almost ONE-FIFTH of those vaccinated had SYSTEMIC reactions, the most serious kind. These reactions can have effects that linger for months, years, or even a lifetime!

Remember, the rate of adverse effects found by the GAO was 100 TIMES that claimed by the vaccine's manufacturer!

What is perhaps most disturbing about the Pentagon's insistence on vaccinating the troops is that the rationale for administering this dangerous drug no longer exists!

The reason that the Defense Department wanted our service members vaccinated was the strong belief that they might face biological weapons in Iraq.

Now, no matter what you might have read in the press, there really was good reason for military leaders to have this concern.

During the Iran-Iraq War in the 1980s, Saddam Hussein used chemical weapons against his opponent, and was trying to develop biological weapons - especially Anthrax - as well. Following that conflict, he also used weapons of mass destruction - again poison gas - against the Kurds in Northern Iraq, killing at least 100,000. Moreover, during the first Persian Gulf War, stores of chemical weapons were discovered.

There was a substantial body of evidence that in the years following the first Persian Gulf War he was continuing to try to develop chemical, biological and even nuclear weapons. So the concern was valid. As it turned out, however, it was also based on bad information.

Interrogations of Iraqi scientists revealed a bizarre truth: They were so fearful of retribution in the event of failure that they vastly overstated the degree of progress they were making in the development of chemical, nuclear and biological weapons to their superiors. Indeed, in large degree their whole program to develop weapons of mass destruction was a sham, concocted to keep them from earning the Iraqi dictator's wrath.

Therefore, the major reason for insisting that all troops be inoculated: the potential that their enemy would use biological weapons against them was no longer present. Despite this fact, the Pentagon continued to insist on vaccination, and therein lies the problem.

No one would argue against vaccinating troops, even if there were a substantial risk to their health, if there was a reasonable certainty that they would be exposed to weapons grade Anthrax. Given the virulence of such biological weapons and the high probability that without the vaccination many of those exposed would die, it made sense. But now that the threat no longer exists - if it ever did - there is no reason to vaccinate them if a substantial risk is involved.

Moreover, the experience with the Anthrax attacks that took place in the United States following the September 11 attack on the World Trade Center has demonstrated that if treated immediately with high-powered antibiotics such as Cipro, the effects of exposure can be overcome.

Of course, if, as the Pentagon has maintained, the risk of adverse effects is low, then it might still be prudent to vaccinate the troops on the chance that someone might develop and use Anthrax against them. Indeed, this is exactly the argument a parade of high-ranking officers has made to Congress over the past several years when called upon to testify on the subject.

 But now we know that they have not been telling the truth!

The Newport News, Virginia, Daily News recently published the results of an investigation into the Pentagon's Anthrax vaccine program that revealed the stunning and outrageous truth: the Pentagon has been hiding the facts about the vaccine's dangers for more than a decade!

The article notes how, in their periodic appearances before Congress, the Pentagon Brass has always said that there were fewer than 100 cases of adverse effects involving hospitalization or serious illness from the Anthrax vaccine during the period between 1998 and 2000. They also insisted that their official policy was that any serious illness or hospitalization associated with the vaccine had to be reported within 24 hours. As the Daily News discovered, there was a reason why the numbers were so low: THEY COOKED THE BOOKS!

The way they did this was to limit the types of illnesses doctors were allowed to report as adverse effects from the vaccine. By deliberately understating the number of adverse effects, they were able to create the impression that the vaccine was much safer than was actually the case.

Now we must be clear here. We are not talking about a difference of a few hundred cases or even a few thousand. Rather, we are talking about an adverse effect rate fully 200 TIMES as high as the Pentagon reported. Instead of less than 100 cases of serious adverse effects, there were ALMOST 21,000!!! AND THOSE ARE JUST THE MOST SERIOUS CASES!!!

Further, in some cases, the types of reactions that went unreported were not just serious, they were a death sentence. For example, three cases of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS, commonly referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease, went unreported.

The Pentagon argues that a statistical analysis of the incidence of the various illnesses and other adverse effects experienced by service members who were vaccinated were within normal limits. Other medical experts, however, do not agree.

One of the main criticisms stems from the fact that the adverse effects experienced involve a complex set of symptoms, but the statistical analysis reviewed symptoms individually. Moreover, the Pentagon stopped keeping records of adverse events in 2000, even though the effects of the vaccine might be long-term. What is perhaps most disturbing about the discontinuation of the Anthrax vaccine monitoring program is that it failed to meet the standards set by the National Institute of Medicine, which recommends a minimum of five years of surveillance.

Meanwhile, veterans who were forced to take the vaccine continue to experience problems. Among the most common are neuropathy - a tingling in the feet arms and hands, chronic pain in the joints and other symptoms of arthritis and difficulty in concentrating. Other more serious problems include things such as ALS.

In the face of such complaints, how could the military brass continue to tell Congress there was no problem?

The answer is simple, they played word games.

Testifying at a congressional hearing, Lt. General G. Robert Claypool, who at the time was the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Operations Policy said:

"The duty to report adverse medication events has been codified for many years. The joint regulation requires submission of a form, VAERS-1 for all adverse events resulting in more than 24 hours of lost duty time or any period of hospitalization. These requirements represent a higher standard than in comparable civilian community health care settings."

That certainly is an impressive statement, but there's a catch. He said that all hospitalizations related to adverse medication events had to be reported, not ALL HOSPITALIZATIONS. But if a particular symptom or health problem is not classified as a recognized "adverse event" then it need not be reported.

In some cases it may well be that the hospitalizations not reported were in fact not related to the vaccine. But we will never know if no attempt is made to determine where the truth lies. Still, it would seem impossible, after five years, to discover the truth. Things, however, are not always what they seem.

In addition to the VAERS system, the military also maintains another database: the Defense Medical Surveillance System or DMSS. It is the most exact and comprehensive database of its kind. The DMSS is capable of tracking and accessing every item of medical information on every member of the Armed Forces: every shot, doctor visit, hospitalization or other medical treatment. The VAERS system pales in comparison.

So why not access and analyze this data to put the vaccine debate to rest once and for all?

The Pentagon argues that they cannot figure out how to access the data and still protect patient privacy.

Officials at the National Institute of Medicine have one thing to say about this claim: NONSENSE!

One Institute official put it succinctly:

"We use these kinds of data sets in Medicaid and Medicare all the time. There are technological solutions."

Indeed, the type of epidemiological research access to the DMSS records would allow is exactly what is needed to get to the truth. Moreover it is in the Pentagon's interest to find out if the vaccine is dangerous.

As military technology has become more complex, the cost of training members of the Armed Forces has become increasingly expensive. It can cost anywhere from a hundred thousand dollars to train an infantryman to millions of dollars to train a fighter pilot or Special Forces soldier. But it is not just the money. It also takes time - years in some instances - to fully train military personnel for some specialties and it is the most highly trained service members that are likely to be the first deployed. It is therefore foolish on many levels to risk their becoming incapacitated by an unsafe vaccine.

So why does the military continue to resist scrutiny?

Some observers believe it is a matter of control:

"If you let independent people have the data, you run the risk of losing control. In combat, letting things get out of control gets people killed, so loss of control is a very sensitive issue."

This may be true, but so is needlessly causing illness or injury to those who volunteer to defend their nation. Yet that is exactly what is about to happen.

On December 19, 2005, the FDA issued a ruling that recognized the Anthrax vaccine as "safe and effective" against all forms of the disease. This once again opens the door to a resumption of the military's mandatory vaccination program. If it is resumed, our service personnel will once again face the dilemma of taking a vaccine that poses unknown and potentially fatal side effects or ending their military careers. It is a choice they should not have to make.
