You see, not a single word was written in the article about the overtly pagan practices, mystical beliefs and outright rejection of absolute truth that distinguishes the Emergent Church from the Southern Baptist Convention and most other mainline Christian denominations. The words "spiritual formation," "contemplative," "centering prayer," "breath prayer," "Labyrinth" and "lectio divina" were nonexistent in the piece. Neither was anything said about how the mind-emptying mantras of the Emergent Church are designed to lead their practitioners into an altered state of consciousness, called "The Silence" where voices and visions are the order of the day......

Americans are up in arms that our pets are being injured and killed by a toxin sent to America by a Chinese company. Melamine, a toxic fertilizer used in China, is the suspected culprit behind the deaths and injuries to potentially hundreds of thousands of our pets. The FDA assures us that this toxin has not entered the human food supply – does anyone believe in the competence of the FDA? It is only a matter of time before this type of problem happens to humans, as the inept FDA has no control over imported food intended for humans, let alone pets.

It’s been a bad week for China. Various Chinese-made toys and key chains were recalled due to high lead content. China, which is experiencing an industrial revolution, has lax standards regarding pollution, the production of food, and manufacturing. They have joined the industrialized world, and like the U.S., condone the poisoning of their citizens in the name of profit. What do they care about citizens (and pets) in other countries? How safe is the imported food grown in China? 
Imported Food – A Disaster Waiting to Happen 
In reality, one has to wonder about the safety of food coming into the U.S from any country. In 2003 the FDA determined that 6% of imports contained toxic pesticide violations and 4% of imported fruits and vegetables were contaminated with illness-producing organisms like salmonella. Since that time imports of fruit, vegetables, and seafood have gone up dramatically while FDA inspections have gone down. The FDA inspects less than 1% of imports. Even when it does conduct tests the food is often released into the food supply and already in distribution and consumed before lab test results come back that identify a problem. The FDA’s food safety program for imported food is one of wishful thinking and denial. 
New York State, which aggressively investigates food-borne illness, finds that 80% of its recalls involve imported food that should have been stopped by the FDA. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimate that poor quality food causes 76 million illnesses and 5,000 deaths per year. If the New York State data holds up nationally, 80% of this problem is from imports. This means that 60 million cases of illness in America and 4,000 deaths per year are directly caused by an inept FDA (which is only a partial list of FDA-condoned deaths). It is easy to understand that the FDA is not doing its job, since it knows 4% - 6% of food imports are dangerous to health and it is spot checking and haphazardly investigating far less than that. 
Our Own Food Supply is Rapidly Deteriorating 
Americans should not be lulled into thinking the U.S. food supply is in great shape and a stellar example for the rest of the world. The FDA just announced that it wants the word “pasteurization” to replace “irradiation” so that food can be treated with radiation and consumers won’t know. This is to cover up the incredibly poor food production and distribution practices allowed in this country. 
Another major debacle is the experiment on our food supply with genetically modified crops. Through this profit-driven experiment on human health the FDA is lowering the quality of food produced in the United States to such an extent that many countries may soon ban our food from being imported. And here we find ourselves in good company, sitting along with China in the grand experiment on altering the food supply by conducting reckless experiments on crops that threaten the very nature of food itself. 
In recent months the problem is escalating, with Europe threatening to test all rice coming from the United States and China for GM contamination, a new problem due to experimental GM foods blowing in the wind and spreading – unregulated – into our food supply. The Europeans are not happy, documenting over 80 recent cases of GM contamination from U.S. and Chinese imports. And what about the plight of the bees – is this problem from toxic pesticides or viral-promoter genes that exist in every cell of genetically modified food? 
Wal-Mart and China, What Are You Eating? 
As Wal-Mart enters the organic marketplace, it plans to grow its “organic” food in China. Who will monitor the toxic industrial pollution which taints the water and soil of these “organic” crops? Will the FDA protect you from this problem? Unlikely, the FDA has no standards for food grown in another country – it simply tries and oftentimes fails to catch problems at our borders. Maybe you are expecting Wal-Mart to set quality standards. 
China actually poses a new problem. China has become a financial powerhouse and is integrated with the U.S. and European economies to such an extent that little is done to force China to have proper food production, handling, and manufacturing standards. Both the U.S. and Europe will place profits ahead of health and safety and thus do little to protect consumers or pets – so as not to upset the financial applecart. 
Sure, plenty of lawsuits will target American companies who used the tainted ingredient in their pet foods. Don’t think for a second that pet owners will get anything from the Chinese company that is most likely the source of the problem that killed and injured our pets. And don’t expect our government to apply any meaningful leverage to the Chinese government, since China is the key player funding our runaway government spending. Where will responsibility land when human deaths are traced to tainted food from China or any other country? 
The FDA is Anti-American 
The FDA says it does not have enough money to monitor food imports, just like the FDA says it doesn’t have enough money to monitor drug safety. While funding issues are a convenient excuse for poor performance, the real problem runs much deeper to the core of what FDA management is actually doing. The sad truth of the matter is that the FDA is actively participating in the sell out of American sovereignty through efforts leading America towards globalization and harmonization with international laws and regional agreements. 
The FDA actively supports lax food standards on an international basis. This is accomplished through FDA participation in Codex Alimentarius, wherein our FDA pushes policy favorable to companies that wish to buy and sell food internationally. 
It is in the best interests of these companies to have very low quality standards, so that substandard food can be traded and dumped into various countries at low prices – and have it labeled in such a way that no consumer can tell the difference. 
One case in point is the FDA support for lax Codex guidelines for organic. If Codex has its way, 20% of food labeled as organic does not need to be organic, a position the FDA supports as a favor to Big Agriculture. This same mentality applies to the fungal toxin content and pesticide content on food for international trade and imports into the U.S. I often think the FDA wouldn’t mind at all if a food-related catastrophe happened, just so it could get more power and funding to push these low quality standards at a faster pace. Of course, the FDA does not want any American to know when they are consuming genetically modified garbage, which contains toxins and viral promoter genes in every cell of “food.” 
The FDA also actively supports draconian Codex standards on dietary supplements as well as seeking regional harmonization with Canada and Mexico to overturn health freedom laws in this country. The FDA intentionally prevents Americans citizens from understanding how nutrition can prevent and treat disease. The FDA has its own agenda that is pro globalization and pro big business (Big Pharma and Big Agriculture), clearly coming down on the side of profits at the expense of human health. Giving more money to the FDA to improve safety under its current and historical management culture is a joke. The FDA management culture is itself a disease, one that is a cancer helping to rot the fundamental principles of our constitution as well as kill hundreds of thousands of innocent Americans. 
Will Americans Ever Stand Up and Be Heard? 
In a country whose constitutional moorings are in a state of decay, it is high time that our food supply, like our borders, be protected. Americans do not understand that our food supply is national security. We are allowing profit-driven efforts at globalization and harmonization to transfer the production of food out of America and make us dependent on food from other countries. 
 
Reclaiming and protecting our food supply is fundamental to freedom, national security, and your health. The quality of our food supply has been in a constant state of decay since the FDA has been in charge. The easiest way to control any people is to control their food supply. The next easiest way is to keep the population sick and on drugs, especially mental health drugs. America is being set up to collapse from within and have no choice but to accept globalization-related control of our lives and future – upon threat of starving our citizens. 
 
I often wonder what it takes to motivate the American people to do anything. Hundreds of thousands of our citizens being needlessly killed by drugs doesn’t do it. Cancer and heart disease due in a large part to eating toxic and poor quality food over the course of a lifetime doesn’t do it. Maybe the injuring and maiming of our pets by the Chinese will get Americans riled up enough to open their eyes and see what is going on in this world.

THE EMERGING CIVIL WAR

In a rather unsettling new article entitled, Influential Baptist Layman Challenges Emerging Church, Christian Post reporter, Audrey Barrick, greets readers with this stunning little announcement: 
An influential Baptist in Missouri believes the Emerging Church movement is one of the most dangerous and deceptive movements infiltrating Southern life and he's out to stop it. Roger Moran, a member of the Southern Baptist Convention Executive Committee, is a conservative layman at First Baptist Church in Troy, Mo. But he's also considered the most powerful Baptist in the state, St. Louis Post-Dispatch newspaper reported Monday.
In the article, Barrick goes on to say: 
Moran's driving concern is the rise of the emerging church and its threat to the future of the Baptist church in Missouri and across the nation. 
"Not since the stealth tactics of the CBF (Cooperative Baptist Fellowship - a group of more moderate Baptists which left the SBC) have we seen a movement operate so successfully below the radar of rank and file Southern Baptists," said Moran at an SBC Executive Committee meeting earlier this year. 
She continues with a warning from Moran: 
"In my home state, the Missouri Baptist Convention is on the brink of a near civil war - and at the heart of our struggle has been the blatant dishonesty of those who are determined that Missouri Baptists will embrace this new postmodern approach to ministry…"
Now, I don't know what all troubles brother Moran about the Emerging Church - and though I am extremely pleased to finally see someone's objections to the EC make it to the pages of a widely read publication like The Christian Post, I am troubled that the more unchristian aspects of the movement were curiously overlooked by the reporter. Though I share Moran's stated objections, which were clearly cited in the piece, one would think, after reading it, that the practice of speaking in tongues, playing R-rated movies and serving alcohol during services, were the only concerns. 
Since other Christian denominations have for some time, utilized all three of these things in one way or another as part of their worship, wouldn't this reduce what might otherwise have been considered Christian concerns into merely Baptist concerns - at least in the eyes of the average non-Baptist churchgoer, thereby silencing the alarm, so to speak, as to the more pressing dangers of the EC, until the story is remembered as little more than a silly account of another agitated old fogy crying "wolf" over denominational differences and worship styles? And, wouldn't that insure that those who recall the article might never be interested in hearing the subject addressed again, having already made up their minds that the controversy is largely nonsense? 
Somehow, I kind of doubt this was Moran's intent or doing. I might be wrong, but I would be more inclined to place the blame for this little oversight elsewhere, if you'd care to call it that - maybe at the feet of the writer, editor or publisher of the piece. 
In my view, the conspicuous absence of the real Emergent threat to the Church makes this Christian Post article as dangerous as the movement itself because it dialectically distracts those who are not yet familiar with it from truly understanding the spiritual peril it poses to Southern Baptists and protestant Christianity in general - thereby undermining any opportunity for scriptural rebuke, correction, conviction and repentance - effectively neutralizing the opposition. I seriously doubt there are many Southern Baptists reading this commentary right now that haven't seen an R-rated movie or know at least one brother or sister in Christ (and probably several) who, though they be in leadership positions, not only speak in tongues but probably consume alcohol outside of church on a regular basis. So, just how shall we rally them and those they lead into rebuking the Emerging Church when the Christian Post suggests, by way of its incomplete information, that Emergents are simply doing in church what many Southern Baptists have been doing elsewhere all along? 
That renders the CP article little more than an SBC invitation to hypocrisy, does it not? And, only a fool would grab the ears of that snapping dog. 
The end result? - More SBC compromise, complicity and capitulation toward the new global spirituality of "whatever it takes" and "whatever works" - all while the Emergent church marches on in unaccountable rebellion against God and His Word. 
If this isn't a Trojan horse, then I don't know what is.

Not once were its similarities to Hinduism, Buddhism, the occult and New Age ever even suggested. Worst of all, there was absolutely no warning whatsoever given to readers that such practices can result in demonic influence and the deification of self. 
As far as I'm concerned, this Christian Post article is just one more example of the controlled opposition at work in the Church today. Frankly, I wish they'd just go ahead and change the name of their publication to The Post Christian because it would certainly be more representative of our time. Instead of alerting and informing the Body of Christ in a thorough and responsible manner about the Emerging Church movement, propaganda pieces like this only disengage, dissuade and discourage the brethren from the spiritual battle we are called to by turning their ignorance, apathy and iniquity against them until they run for the tall grass in search of fig leaves rather than courageously standing and calling for repentance in obedience to God's Word. 
 
And you know what? It's working - because this Emergent leaven is everywhere in Southern Baptist life today and almost no one in SBC leadership and authority that I know of is resisting it - at least not publicly. 
In fact, by and large, today's church welcomes it and celebrates it because it puts butts in the seats and makes participants feel culturally relevant, spiritually savvy and tingly all over - today's measure of success. 
 
To them, I suppose that's worth a civil war.

Which do you choose? A way of life where you are the master of your destiny, or one where virtually all decisions are made for you by one ruling body or another? It's the classic struggle facing every human on earth. Freedom or control. 
Truth be known, there are many who actually choose control. It makes for a well-ordered society with few surprises. In a controlled society one doesn't have to make complicated career choices, health care is provided. 
Community planners decide where housing will be placed. Committees decide what industries are to be allowed and how they will operate. Self-appointed watchdogs decide the foods that you shall be permitted to eat, to protect our health, of course. 
Family planners decide the number of children allowed and how they will be raised. Those children, of course, will be well taken care of every day in public education centers that not only provide a centrally planned curriculum, but also provide for all physical and mental health needs. 
Crime can be eliminated in the coming Utopia because there will be no real possessions or personal property to steal and no personally owned weapons to threaten the authority of the State. Economic security is promised in a better world as everyone equally sacrifices their earned wealth to the State so all may live in harmony, free of greed and the stress of daily living. Everything is well organized, peaceful and controlled. Everyone is secure in the knowledge that tomorrow will be just like today. 
On the other hand, there is the chaos of what some call freedom. In such a society, people are fully responsible for their own actions. Untethered individuals throw a monkey wrench into a well-ordered society by inventing new gadgets that make life easier and more productive, but threaten old ways. 
"Selfish" people pursue their own dreams and ideals without ever worrying about how they fit into the order created by the State. They want to benefit from the fruits of their labor, own property and raise families without controls established from the wisdom of the community. 
Imagine such a society in which parents get to decide how best to educate their children. And think of the irresponsibility of individuals actually being able to choose if and how they want to invest their money to prepare for retirement. In the so-called free society, people eat what they want without benefit of government approval. Children are part of the family that bore them, not overseen by the State. People start enterprises without asking permission. Nothing stays the same, except that individuals are secure in their homes and have the ability to live their lives as they choose. 
Control today has a name. "Agenda 21." This is the name of a policy document first unveiled at the United Nations' Earth Summit in 1992. Implementation of the treaty is through a policy called Sustainable Development. This program is now the official policy of the United States and is being systematically imposed in every single state of the Union and in every city and town. There are very few exceptions. Sustainable Development is no less than a ruling principle through which decisions for all aspects of our lives are determined through public/private partnerships between government (at all levels) and private institutions in our communities. They provide guidelines to determine business decisions; property use; medical care; education curriculum; foreign policy; economics; taxes; labor policy; career decisions; housing; building material; farming policy; and much more. Agenda 21 is based on the principle that government is the maker of rights. 
If you choose freedom, then there is a counter to Agenda 21 and its Sustainable Development program. It's called Freedom 21, and it's quickly growing into a "freedom movement." Freedom 21 is not an organization. It is a loose coalition of groups and individuals who believe that our nation's Founding Fathers had it right when they established this nation as one with tightly controlled reins on government. The Founding Fathers believed that all individuals were born with their rights of individual liberty, and that government's job is to protect those rights as individuals pursue their own dreams and goals. That's the basis for the Freedom 21 agenda. 
Freedom 21 was organized six years ago by Henry Lamb (Environmental Conservation Organization), Tom DeWeese (American Policy Center), Craig Rucker and David Rothbard (Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow), and representatives of Eagle Forum. Today, this group is joined by The Chicago-based Heartland Institute, Edwatch of Minnesota, Freedom 21 Santa Cruz, Sovereignty International, and the American Land Foundation, based in Texas. 
The unique fact about Freedom 21 is that it is truly a grassroots coalition. It has no central infrastructure; no official leader; no budget; no overhead; and no bureaucracy. The co-sponsors are independent organizations, which do not give up their individual identity or autonomy to participate in Freedom 21 activities. It succeeds precisely because members are open to the activities of others and are happy to lend their support. The coalition operates under a set of principles of freedom, first adopted by activists in conference in July of 2000. 
In its eight years, the Freedom 21 Campaign has served as a mechanism for reaching out to the freedom movement to share ideas and unite grassroots activists. Through Freedom 21 projects and conferences, the movement has been able to introduce leaders in other movements to the principles of freedom. Even more, one-issue activists are beginning to learn that they share common goals and adversaries with other grassroots movements. Freedom 21 has been instrumental in uniting Second Amendment defenders; property rights activists; free market advocates; tax opponents; personal privacy protectors; family autonomy champions; back-to-basics education activists, and many more. These single-issue activists have come to understand that they all share a common foe in Sustainable Development. 
Today, Freedom 21 is providing invaluable tools to help fight back against the threat of the UN's Agenda 21 and Sustainable Development. Three years ago, Freedom 21 leaders developed a six-hour DVD presentation entitled, "Americas' Choice: Liberty or Sustainable Development," designed to help educate activists and elected officials. That DVD is still the most comprehensive presentation on the subject. The DVD was followed with production of a booklet for elected officials entitled, "Understanding Sustainable Development: A Guide for Public Officials." 
In 2005, Freedom 21 turned its efforts toward creating new sources of funding for a cash-starved freedom movement. Freedom21.com is a unique Internet news service that gives $2 of every member's monthly subscription fee to the freedom organization of the member's choice. Now, in 2007, the Freedom21 Credit Union has opened its doors, offering a unique opportunity for depositors, through the credit union, to help fund the organizations of their choice. 
 
The most important project each year is the Freedom 21 national conference, this year scheduled for July 19 to 21 in Dallas, Texas. This year's conference is the only conference of its kind to focus entirely on the debate over the creation of a North American Union. The conference will feature addresses by Phyllis Schlafly, Henry Lamb, Patrick Wood, Michael Coffman, Cliff Kincaid and myself, to name a very few. Also invited to speak are Rep. Ron Paul and Jerome Corsi. Participants will learn about the Security and Prosperity Partnership, the Trans Texas Corridor, the Kansas City Smart Port, the role of immigration to the process, and the connections of the SPP with Sustainable Development. Allen Quist and Mike Chapman for Edwatch will present documentation on public education's ties to Sustainable Development. In addition, Marlo Lewis from the Competitive Enterprise Institute will dispute the message of Al Gore's film, "An Inconvenient Truth." The White House targeted officials at Brigham Young University (BYU) in January to offer Dick Cheney’s speaking services at their Commencement exercises on April 26, 2007. I seriously question Cheney’s prerogative and motives in his offer to BYU, owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Is this an attempt to clean-up his image, mix politics with religion, gain a silent endorsement for war-mongering actions, or wage a struggle for his own political survival or to discretely discredit Professor Steven Jones who retired early from BYU. 
BYU had placed Professor Jones on six weeks paid leave, beginning on September 7, 2006, in order to review his statements about the physics behind the collapse of the three towers on September 11. Dr. Jones and BYU reached an amicable retirement agreement on October 20, 2006 effective January 1, 2007. Dr. Jones said: "My stewardship is to get people thinking about and studying these things. I have my stewardship, and I'm going to keep going at it doggedly. The administrators (at BYU) have their stewardship. We both were just doing our best in our stewardships, and I'm not mad at them at all. I sense it is a friendly type of arrangement. It's probably the best thing, and we'll move on. I feel good about it."[1] 
The government has made every attempt to discourage further investigation of the events of 9/11, the American Reichstag fire. After all, they immediately confiscated all videos, told Americans exactly what occurred within 24 hours of the events and then disposed of all the evidence. We had the perpetrator's pictures, histories, flight school records, everything a vulnerable, frightened populace needed to know - case closed, move on. The intense fires were the cause of the building collapses, so we were told. A shocked America hung on every word, wanting answers to ease their anxieties. 
Upon further analytical examination of pictures, video, eye witness testimonies and critical thinking, a few astute people began asking legitimate questions. However, many accept the government's version, assisted by the media - it is easier and allows people to remain in their cozy comfort zones. Skeptics are routinely vilified. Trusting conformists, confident and distracted by "conservative" talk radio and Faux Network news contend against orchestrated opposition - those anti-war liberal Democrats who don't support the troops. I am neither Republican nor Democrat, both of which totally ignore the constitution at the expense of personal freedoms.

Did the BYU Board of Trustees accept Cheney's offer out of obligation to his political office? How does one tactfully, delicately decline the request of a sitting vice president? BYU is in a very unfortunate situation. Universities, especially those that are church-owned, select inspirational speakers who also function as excellent roll models. Cheney, a globalist Republican politician, first and foremost, may consider this a bonus political soap box. Cheney found Utah much more Republican-friendly when he campaigned there in 2003, before the Iraqi death statistics soared into the hundreds of thousands and before news of the phosphorous used against the citizens of Fallujah. 
Will the board's acceptance be viewed as BYU's unvoiced endorsement of the Republican Party and the current administration's unconstitutional activities such as: national ID, the Patriot Act, Homeland Security, rendition flights and torture, concentration camp construction, ignoring the Geneva Conventions, invasion and occupation of other countries, the use of depleted uranium, obliterating the north and south borders to establish the North American Union, catering to lobbyists, granting no-bid contracts to friends, unauthorized searches, defining ordinary citizens as terrorists, suspension of habeas corpus, CAFTA, Military Commissions Act, or the genocidal destruction perpetuated against the innocent, poverty-stricken citizens of other countries carried out in the name of spreading democracy or fighting false-flag terror? Many fail to question these circumstances for fear of appearing anti-American. 
I frequently hear from military people who have embraced the government's justification for invasive war. Many have used the analogy that if my neighbor were being brutalized by her husband, would I withhold assistance? No, I would not withhold appropriate assistance. I would also not cluster bomb the entire neighborhood, destroy all infrastructure and kill all the residents to solve the problem. 
Gordon B. Hinckley, president of the LDS Church said the following on the Larry King show in 1998: "The church does not become involved in politics. We don't favor any candidate. We don't permit our buildings to be used for political purposes. We don't favor any party." "The church has meticulously guarded its political neutrality, and has gone to great lengths to avoid even the appearance of political activism. Statements are read from Church pulpits each election time regarding the duty of members to participate in the election process; and Church scriptures admonish members to seek "good and wise and honest" individuals to fulfill public office, and even seek to preserve the United States Constitution, but official Church endorsement of political parties and individuals is absolutely eschewed by Church leadership."[2] 
Will Cheney honor this neutrality policy? Does he abide by the constitution that he swore to uphold or does he maintain his long-time loyalties to the Council on Foreign Relations, a secretive society whose goal is to create a tyrannical one world government? A tree is known by its fruit. Answering Larry King's question about Bill Clinton, President Hinckley said: "He's the president of the United States. There's a right way; there's a wrong way. There's truth; there is mischief; there's evil. I don't think it's asking too much of any public officer to stand tall and be a model before the people, not only in the ordinary aspects of leadership, but in the way -- the manner in which he conducts himself."[3] 
It was relatively easy to influence the religious after the contrived Clinton shenanigans that were designed to disgust the devout. Religious rhetoric and claims of conservative compassion swayed the vulnerable masses. However, if one ignores the monopoly propaganda and begins to evaluate the numerous, questionable circumstances since January 2001 one will find huge inconsistencies. There are times when individuals must take a stand for what is right regardless of its unpopularity and dire consequences such as Helmuth Huebener. Americans cannot kill others through large-scale warfare without affecting our collective morality. Our national heart, once compassionate, has turned to stone assisted by the pervasive war hawk mentality promoted as pro-American. I cringe when I hear people repeating the popular media mumbo jumbo that our troops are fighting for our freedoms. 
Church leaders have the moral responsibility to teach principles not preach politics, critique national personalities, or mount investigations into government corruption. Churches may collectively serve the storm-afflicted, poverty-stricken in this country or other countries by providing education, food and resources for rebuilding. This activity should be and can be financially accomplished without government intervention (control) or enforced charity using the taxpayer's money through unconstitutional faith-based initiatives. Individuals should embrace moral principles and then govern themselves. Christians serve - they should not brutally trample others to establish superiority whether on a personal level or country against country. 
Corrupt governments consistently manipulate religious groups in order to win favor for their nefarious deeds. "Religious people are the most gullible, as their capacity for 'belief' can readily be twisted into the suspension of disbelief. Their loyalty to the faith makes them reluctant to question the need for obedience to an earthly leader."[4] In addition, they are unconvinced that someone they trusted would actually commit crimes against them. Most Christians would never think of intentionally, individually harming others so they suppose that anyone who claims to be a Christian is of the same mentality. 
"In May of 2001, by presidential order, Cheney was handed direct control of all war-game and drill operations. This meant he was solely in charge of the overlapping NORAD drills and war games on the morning of 9/11 that prevented Standard Operating Procedure from being implemented, and any of the hijacked planes being intercepted."[5] Since the creation of NORAD, a joint Canadian United States venture, the order to shoot down an aircraft has always been the responsibility of the military Generals. On June 1, 2001, Vice President Dick Cheney ordered Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld to allow him (Cheney) to take control of NORAD and the shoot down procedure and remove that power from the Generals.[6] 
Purportedly, we are engaged in war because of the events of 9/11. A critical look at Cheney's behavior on 9/11 would provide valid reasons why he should not speak at any school's commencement. U.S. Secretary of Transportation Norman Mineta appeared before the belated 9/11 Commission on May 23, 2003. 
"On May 23, 2003 you testified before the 9/11 Commission in public hearing as to your experience on the morning of 9/11/01. "During your testimony you stated that you arrived at the Presidential Emergency Operations Center (PEOC) underneath the East Wing of the White House 'at about 9:20 a.m.,' at which time Vice President Richard Cheney and other staff were already present in the center, with Mr. Cheney clearly in command. You also state in your testimony that you had believed based on a conversation that took place between Mr. Cheney and an unnamed 'young man' that a shoot down order had been given by the Vice President prior to your arrival, because, in your words..." 
"There was a young man who had come in and said to the vice president, 'The plane is 50 miles out. The plane is 30 miles out.' And when it got down to, 'The plane is 10 miles out, 'the young man also said to the vice president, 'Do the orders still stand?' And the vice president turned and whipped his neck around and said, 'Of course the orders still stand. Have you heard anything to the contrary?'"[7] 
"You made it clear during your testimony to the Commission that you had arrived at the PEOC prior to the Pentagon attack and that the plane the young man was referring to was Flight 77 that reportedly hit the Pentagon at 9:37. Your testimony made it clear that you were not confusing flight 77 and flight 93, which crashed at 10:10 a.m. in Shanksville, Pennsylvania."[8] See the video entitled "Mineta tells 9/11 Commission Cheney knew exact flight path." Cheney knew!!!! 
Brigham Young University-Idaho (BYU-Idaho or BYU-I), a four year school, was known as Ricks College from 1923 until 2000.[9] It is owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Brady Howell grew up in Sugar City, Idaho and attended Ricks College where he obtained an associate degree in 1997. He was a son any parent could be proud of - an Eagle Scout and had been student body president.[10] After Ricks, he attended Utah State University and received a bachelor's degree in political science. He and his wife, Elizabeth Anderson Howell, then moved to Syracuse, New York where Brady obtained his master's degree in public administration at the Maxwell School at Syracuse University.[11] 
They moved to the Washington DC area where Brady worked for the Chief of Naval Operations as a civilian naval intelligence watch analyst. "Brady was moved into the newly renovated section of the Pentagon, a few days prior to September 11th, 2001."[12] Renovations were due to be completed on September 16th, 2001. However, the renovated part of the pentagon was ostensibly five days from re-occupancy. He worked for the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI), the entity that often monitors war-games. They were "likely to have been monitoring the secret War Games, and would have been the first to realize the war games were a ruse in order to attack NYC."[13] 
On September 10, 2001 Rumsfeld announced that the Pentagon could not account for $2.3 trillion. It was forgotten the following morning. Accountants, bookkeepers and budget analysts who were in the section of the Pentagon being renovated met their unexpected deaths. Brady Howell was one of those unfortunate victims. His body was found a week later.[14] The destruction of accounting facts and figures will prevent discovery of where that money went. I am quite certain someone knows where it is. I am also certain that this is not merely gross incompetence but private treasonous seizure of public funds.[15] 
 
On December 21, 2001 Elizabeth "Liz," Brady's wife carried the Olympic torch and handed it to George W. Bush at a ceremony on the South Lawn of the White House. Later, she carried the United States banner during the opening ceremonies of the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.[16] Brady and his wife, Liz, had been married for four years. 
 
It is my humble opinion, and in respect for the memory of Brady Howell and all of the other Pentagon victims, BYU should seriously study the facts and reconsider the decision to have Cheney represent their ideals to the graduating class on April 26. There is a petition online - please consider signing it! Your religious affiliations are insignificant - your church or church school may be next - take a stand for America!
