Welcome to the Geelong Writers Inc. Poetry forum. Anyone can join, and the few rules, as such, are these.
1. You can use this forum however you want, so long as the topic remains related to poetry. Use it to share your work, to invite critiquing, as a learning tool, to pass on information re competitions and publishing opportunities, etc. It's up to you.
2. Re critiquing: please do not offer a critique unless the author requests it and be positive and constructive, i.e. state first what you like about the work and then be specific (and tactful) about what lines or sections are unclear or you believe could be improved.
3. This is an unmoderated forum, so whatever you send will be posted here with no censorship. HOWEVER, please use some form of classification warning in the message if your work contains adult themes, coarse language, emotionallly disturbing imagery, etc. We poets are a diverse bunch and we want to keep this group accessible to everyone.
4. Posting on this forum does not constitute publication, but the author retains copyright of their work. All members are expected to respect the authors' rights but no guarantees can be given regarding the confidentiality of online forums.
5. Although this forum is primarily intended for members of Geelong Writers Incorporated, we may, at our discretion, allow visitors to participate. After all, these forums are about sharing and constructive feedback, and if you are adding to the value of the forum, then we are pleased to have you onboard. However, you must not advertise any links to this group. We reserve the right to terminate any such memberships at any time.
