Hi I Just want to let you know as a free cycle client. If I giveaway
anything away I usually do not let them in my front door. I give the
product to the person out the front on my porch outside my door. I
feel that is a good way of dealing with people you do not know and
avoids having a stranger in your house. That might be an idea to
consider and put on the posting for free cycle. -

Please take reasonable measures to protect your safety and privacy
when posting to the list or participating in an exchange. By joining
the list, you agree to hold neither the list owners and moderators
nor anyone affiliated with The Freecycle Network responsible or
liable for any circumstance resulting from a Freecycle exchange or
communication.

Freecycle group when arranging for pickup of the item being given
away to be appropriately aware of the potential risk of having "a
stranger" come to your home to pick something up. The Freecycle
Network and member groups, as listservs, assume no responsibility
for this risk.

area, library, etc.); or if you do give a member your address, to
leave the item on the porch without mentioning whether or not you'll
be home. If you, for example, are a single woman living alone, you
may want to meet downtown during the day to exchange the item, or
have somebody with you at home, so it doesn't appear that you live
alone.
