RE: [HumanitysTeamAustralia] human rights

I hear what you are saying. Yet the more I speak with people it seems so
many are feeling the same way. Apathy is a major concern. I feel collective
consciousness is spilling over with dismay but many people don't know what
to do about the situation. I feel this is where humanity is losing
itself....as we lose ourselves (in technology/modern day hedonistic era) we
are losing our sense of individual altruism. There is great opprotunity but
as the Dalai Lama says 'it's a time where there is much in the window, but
nothing in the room'

For me, I'm choosing to watch less and less news on TV. I use the internet
so I can pick and choose what I read and buy the paper only once a week
these days! I like to be informed what is going on in the world the style of
journalism has such a negative slant when there is among all the bad in the
world, there is much good being done too. Have you watched Oparah or Dr Phil
recently? Though we can pick the faults in anything...I have watched
episodes that have reduced me to tears of a person building great
opportunities for young children in Harlem etc etc etc. Its a shame
Australian media has little of this type of coverage. We really need the
morale boost!!

We are sabotaging ourselves in many ways. I think it can be hard to know how
best to 'change the system' which is something I still struggle with. Just
trying to reach out to humanity on a daily basis is a genuine simple
way...the more we talkwith eachother the more 'the word' (which is the
individual word really...or is really a collective one?) is spread.

Thanks for bringing up the topic Its nice to discuss these things :)

Best wishes everyone

jolesty
