Pine Street Creative Arts Centre and the City of Sydney Council are inviting young emerging artists to participate in the inaugural Intercity Cultural Exchange for Youth (ICEY). ICEY is an initiative that draws together young artists to form networks between Sydney and other cities in a series of collaborative and intensive arts workshops that encourage participants to develop their skills through a process of experimentation and exchange. The workshops will be held in Sydney and another partnering city, with successful applicants travelling to both cities. This year ICEY'03 will be activated through an exchange with Newcastle and the Hunter Region in New South Wales. Expressions of interest are being pursued from young (18 to 25 years) visual, performance, audio and digital artists across a wide range of arts disciplines. This project was made possible by Pine Street Creative Arts Centre and the City of Sydney Council. the Palais Royale Youth Venue and Newcastle City Council, Artstart Metro East and Reverse Garbage.
