Re: [Jumbuck] Re: engine conversion

Yeah second childhoods are good, you get to do the things you didn't do. I am interested to know what somebody would charge for the rotary conversion,it is a big task,But wouldn't it hammer when finished,Let me know what price they come up with. Other wise just drop a single cam 1.8 in the power difference is pretty good.
Regards neil

Neil thanks for the info, to be honest I'm not sure probably just
going through a second childhood. I was just keeping it for my son to
drive when he gets his licence, however plans change :)

To be honest I would just like to do something different, hence the
rotary fully understanding that all the would remain would be the
frame and the body everything else would need to be changed. I'm
asking for a price for this to be done once this is in I will think
about the options. If it is over the top in price then I will look at
a more normal conversion and yes AWD preferable.

The project would be about 12 months if I do it piece meal, that is
rear diff, suspension, brakes then engine in that oderd or I could
just drop it off and say give me a yell when it is finished.

Again the limiting factor will be cost at the moment I'm assuming
around the 12-15k mark.

think that engine is around the other way.I'm not sure what advise
your after as i'm unclear of what you want to do. If you want to do
an engine conversion, then the lancer GSR like mine and the 2lt Evo
engines or Satria GTi engines are the only one I know of that will
fit in.

from the body down.

same ratios to match the EVO AWD Which is another question??? Are you
wanting to go FWD,AWD,4WD,or RWDrive all these options have there own
difficulties..

will cost, and it depends on you plans for you car.If you are really
only after a bit more power as a daily driver, then maybe the single
cam 1.8lt cc lancer engine is the best choice. There fairly easy to
find and cheap.
