Kev,
I cut off the standard muffler and fitted a 2" straight thru in its
place with a 2 1/4" angle cut tip. Before doing this, I pressure
tested the stock system (after airbox mod) and got a total back
pressure at the manifold of 26kPa at 6000rpm in 3rd gear WOT.
I haven't tested since fitting the new muffler as there is minor
transient resonance at around 3000rpm under hard acceleration, so
I'll put a resonator before the muffler to kill that off before
testing again. Exhaust note is good and not loud or harsh except for
resonant peak. Sounds a bit like an Evo 7 on overrun.
When I get it sorted, I'll give you the numbers and post some pix.
Cheers, Pete.
