Yeh Thanks Jeff
Thats what I thought, Mind You! I Believe the pod starts to work
better as you do more MODS. eg Extractors,Exhaust,Muffler etc.so I
dont think it is a wast of time.Buy the way,Looking at your pic.was
your rocker cover gold when you bought it or have you painted it.Mines
black...The gold looks good. Now you need a RALLYART or NISMO oil cap..
It just goes on and on does't it.
I bought a new steering wheel and boss kit last week, but it hasen't
arrived yet.Keep us posted.

hi neil i would have to agree with the others if there is any improvement it's not a lot but it seems a bit more responsive and revs a bit harder . the bend fits neatly into the factory outlet using the same clamp jeff.----- Original Message -----
Hi Jeff Thanks for the pics. Did you find it made any noticeable difference in performance. My research found opinions varied and suggest only 1-2kw improvement. what did you find?? and is the bend 75mm and doe's it fit neatly into the air box tube. Regards neil

hi neil, just posted a couple of photos of my pod filter, it's a 75mm
joby, to fit it you have to remove the inner wheel guard to get at the
factory air intake. the stainless bend was a bought one , bit fiddly
to fit but only took bout an hour.jeff.
G'day All
Has anyone got any photo's of a pod filter mod completed on there
jumbuck, and what size eg. 3" 4" neck size any thoughts?
I have posted some pics of a 4" pod.what do ya think?

Hi John

hi all jeff here, i see transplants are the order of the day , there
is a spread in the july/august issue no17 of australian ute a full gti
swap into a jumbi very good reading, lot of work though with major
hassels, still worth it.keep in mind that any swap needs to be the
early 4g engines, a left mount [gearbox on drivers side] after 95 they
turned em round.i'll see if i can get it up for you. the 4g93 from a
gti should go straight in. but you need to use the gti ems as the
jumbi one isn't up to it. keep us posted jeff.
Things move pretty slowly around my place (or maybe it's just me).
I managed to get the pages converted into .pdf format and I have posted
it under the "Files" section.
I met a chap in Ipswich (Qld) the other day who has an '05 GLi. He had
it lowered 25mm at the front and 75mm at the back, put on some really
nice 16 inch Avante mags and he said that hes had no trouble with his
warranty. With the hard tonnou and black tinting she looks pretty good.

Hi John Thanks for the post. I guess color choice is a personal thing. I bought the the blue GLSI and have found it is horrible to keep clean,I love my jumbuck! but it takes a lot of cleaning every few days.I have just orded a paint sealer kit from Paint Protection.com.au I am hopeing this will make cleaning it easer. Have a look if interested. As for your yellow jumbuck I think that would be a more serviceable color than the blue. Let us know out of interest.I nearly bought a yellow one myself, but my wife talked me into the blue GLSI. As for the 4g63b articale, yes please post it if you can,I am very interested. Keep us posted. G'Day All
Ive had the jumbuck for 14 months now,and Love it.
I thought it time for an update of all mods so far.
Ok here we go,
First The 15"BSA Mags,Then the wing, then the roll bar, then the nudge
bar,then came E.R.P.S.electronic rust prevention system,Then the
stainless steel carry racks,colour matched.Then 2 60W reverse driving
lights. Then the reverse Parking Sensors.Ok thats it for the hard mods.
Now all the yuppy mods.
Then came the blue LED interior light,Blue fluro Tubes behind the
seats,Blue mood stick light between the stereo and the 2way radio, then
the blue LED flashing cigerete lighter plug, and the blue LED flashing
chrome gear shift knob, and the carbon fiber hand brake handle, and of
course the Million Colour L.E.D. under car kit. and yeh I know, all a
bit yuppy,But hey second childhoods are great fun.
Keep in mind I don't want to do two many hard mods yet, till the
Warrenty runs out. BUT I have bought a stainless Muffler and pipes and
looking at stainless extractors at the moment ready to bolt on
later, and I have a pod filter and cold air induction system ready to
go.I figger the prices will only get dearer later,so buy now fit later.
I have posted some new pics, have a look.
Well thats it for now. Keep ya posted.

Hi Guy's, regarding the steering wheel I replaced mine with an Autotechnica sports wheel and the matching the boss kit from them was for a proton 98 onwards (any model). I had the garage fit but the indicator cancelling did not work I took it back and they tried again and it worked until I got home ! So I had a go, by the way I am not great at car modifications but on the boss kit were 3 small hole and I looked at the original wheel and matched them up with the same location and it works perfect now. I will post a pic (I need help from
the children but they are never home and when they are I cannot get on the computer catch 22 !!!). The wheel feels great and as it is a little smaller makes it a lot sportier to drive, it is black and grey so compliments the interior very well. Very happy with that.

Over the coming months I am hoping to make a few mods to the Jumbuck in time for the summer.
New Stereo New Speakers Stainless ExhaustLeather Steering wheel Induction kit etc.
Its a bit tricky getting parts here in the UK. There is also very litle advice around. For example, what size do replacement speakers need to be? What about steering wheel and boss fitments? Is there an induction kit available etc etc...
Hopefully over time these questions will be answered and my Jumbuck will start to become transformed!!
As an aside, I was thinking over the weekend, would you have any interest in adding informations, stories etc to the Jumbuck owner website? Hi Andrew Nice to here from you again. Here to Information is very hard to find. However there is a site here in australia which offers all sorts of mods & kits for the jumbuck. There's a link in the links folder. Its called RPW or Raceing Performance Works. May not be economicle to buy parts from overseas, but the site is a good source of information and may help you identerfy parts. As for your Jumbuck Site I would be only to happy to send posts and exchange information and LINK our 2 Groups. The more people we can connect with the better. The yahoo site Group is only a FREE 30MB site and wont hold two many pictures, so it would help a lot to be able to move pics & stories, then provide a link to them. I can,t help you with your speakers,I haven't had mine out yet. I did replace the stereo with a kenwood CD deck to make way for my kenwood 2 way radio underneath it. Look
forward to hearing more from you. Kind Regards neil Andrew Edwards <digitalsymbiosis2000@...> wrote:

I bought my Yella Jumi in October, '05 model GLi. I won't be doing much
to it in the near future as its under "lease/purchase" over 3 years.
So, in the mean time I with be gathering up information and the odd
part or two that I can fit once she's all mine. Of course little thing
that the service guys won't worry about, like strut bars and stuff,
I'll fit as I get them.
Anyway, I'm not going to waste space by sending in any photos - I think
everyone knows what a stock Yellow GLi looks like.
Catch ya's
