It is sad to see that Indian Radio Station Apna FM is overpowering all over
Auckland.

88.1, now all across 88.3 and 107.1 FM
carries Apna Fm Signals. Right from City to down south you can hear them
overpowering and taking other LPFM operators out.

Where is the logic of 300mw to 500mw transmitters
giving you 5 to 8Km range

Scenario A
Auckland is approx 60km wide in four directions

North
East
West
South
they must have something like 4 to 5 transmitters in each areas
now multiply this by 2 or 3 transmitters

Thats 32 transmitters on the lowest scale

Scenario B
North
East
West
South

Pumping out power of up to 10-20watts
On 2 frequencies so again 8 high powered transmitters are on simultaneously

Scenario C:
How are they funding Staff, Management and whole lot of operating costs
With a such a small population as minorities
Has the government given them a Grant
Chris Carter and Steve Maharey are they aware of this ?



Conclusion:
How on earth can one afford this ?
Knowing the new Rules why are they wasting money on transmitters and
knocking out other LPFM operators ?
Even the Herald had an article saying that: Indian Stations will be forced
off air
Hasn’t the new rule been modified to help them operate on this for longer
period ?

If this continues than I think Radio NZ, 1ZB, MI FM and/or Radio Sport and
others should do the same,
Why do they have different frequencies in other towns ?
Join SKY TV for $75.000 per year
Put a Decoders & transmitters though out NZ ( Sky $150Per Month &
Transmitter Aerial & Installation $1000 or more)
So you have Nationwide frequency you want.

Why pay the government millions of Dollars for a one town frequency costs
The Chinese were looking for a frequency in NZ, than there is Muslims,
Samoans and whole lot of other people who want such median.

Our FM radio will be blocked and this median will become hard to listen to.

Come on guys raise your voices before its too late
Wake up Fellow NZ radio operators
RSM – has no time for such issues
Either the Minister’s are paid and don’t want to look at it.

This kind of Pirate efforts is soon going hit NZ and ruin our AOTEA ROA
