I like BSI stuff still the most, more flexable for internet news services, scheduling, recording, events/macros etc..
but for a software processor for winamp or stand alone, the octimax is the best I've found for only a few bucks, it's a 2-band agc, 5 and compressor and small wide-band final limiter. I don't like using straight compressors and limiters without a lever first, or you get over compressed modern recordings. www.octiv.com
The other is stand alone is MBL4/5 http://www.burnill.co.uk/mbl4.php however it lacks noise gating in the multiband stage so hiss can be bad on some recordings. Both don't have user definable cross-over points, so are targeted slightly more to internet webcasting than studio work, but sound not to bad just the same.
Cheers,
Gavin.

Very flexible system, and still free! I wonder if they could
implement the plugins to Deltatrax..
