Re: [LPFM] archive

Hmmm, are these 50khz steps covered in the GURL? if not, I guess its
a given until told otherwise, much like a lot of the other loopholes.

Not that this would help coverage for places like Auckland CBD - as
its very crowded already, and they (LPFMs) play the same oonst or
underground music anyway. Another negative byproduct of this would be
ineffective branding - considering you may be listening to the wrong
station. Messy.

All those extra frequencies would look better as engravings on a
picture frame.

and other similar systems. Please excuse my unashamed plug. I have
2 products.

generates playlists to your design. The playlists can be loaded into
simple audio players, such as Winamp, or used with broadcast playback
software, such as Raduga or my own StationPlaylist Studio. You
basically design rotations of music categories and spots (jingles,
ads, etc) and specify when the rotations will be used over a weekly
schedule. It can take some time to initially set up depending on
your requirements, but once this is done, it can be used week after
week with little or no maintenance. Supports artist & song repeat
protection etc. The Standard edition is US$79.

software for the studio/DJ. Internally it uses hidden Winamp players
for the actual audio reproduction, so Winamp plugins for streaming
and audio processing can be used. It loads the playlists generated
by Creator automatically, and can run attended indefinately. It
provides many benefits over simple players, particularly for doing
live shows, such as a 48 cart slots for instant jingles etc, Mic
button with music fade etc. Studio costs US$89.

priced in US dollars as that is where most of the sales are. We pay
the GST for NZ sales so this makes it 12.5% cheaper for Kiwi's.

And 50kHz steps are not part of the NZ channel plan I believe. ie: radios in NZ do not have to tune to 50kHz steps, they only have to tune to 100kHz steps. ...
