Re: [LPFM] archive

You should select another frequency, as 106.45 is not a licenced frequency.

Otherwise you risk an infringement fine ($1500?) and/or equipment confiscation
by the MED

To determine what you can and cannot do, you should read and understand the GURL
licence (copy attached)

Regards, Jochen

Hi!
I'm a lurker but setting up a LPFM on 106.450 in Whangarei @ Kamo
Intermediate School due to start broadcasting Mid Term 2 from our new
arts block. There is a thriving bunch of enthusiastic kids on this
mission.

We are KIS Komuniti FM

There is lots of valuable info on this list*like the idea of using a
video audio compressor as mentioned the other day***.or info on win amp
etc.
We were going to use itunes for programming & dumped onto an ipod to
broadcast
BUT

My ideas have been challenged*******..where does one get Raduga 311 (is
it expensive)

So Scottie **.beam me to the archive**.is there one?
So I can avoid annoying people with newbie questions**..we have our
aerial up etc & know a reasonable amount**..its more a matter of fine
tuning***.excuse the pun.

Hi Graham 106.45? I don't think 0.05Mhz steps are legal in NZ, and most tuners cannot tune to them. Is this a licenced frequency or a free LPFM? Anyway,...

Hmmm, are these 50khz steps covered in the GURL? if not, I guess its a given until told otherwise, much like a lot of the other loopholes. Not that this would...

... The GURL or whatever it is now specifies the upper LPFM frequencies specifically as 106.7, 106.8, 106.9, 107.0, 107.1, 107.2, 107.3. 106.45 is odd to say...

And 50kHz steps are not part of the NZ channel plan I believe. ie: radios in NZ do not have to tune to 50kHz steps, they only have to tune to 100kHz steps. ...
